How many players is this now who have either been taken out for the whole season or have missed huge chunks of times due to concussions and concussion-related injuries? While I think Shanahan's tougher stance on head shots is helping, it's not helping enough. What more needs to be done? Better equipment? I'm not saying send the players out there dressed like the Stay-Puft man, but would it even be feasible to get better helmets at least?

This just started happening to me. Until now, the Veetle plug-in I downloaded worked fine, and I could watch the game. Now for some reason, I have to keep re-downloading it, and it won't take. What's up, FRW?

You can't watch the feed using Veetle on Firefox. You'd have to use Google Chrome, if you don't already have it. I downloaded it just to watch Wings games, since the Flash stream in Firefox acts stupid. In order to use the Veetle plug-in in Firefox, you'd have to run it in 32-bit mode I believe, and that's not recommended. At least not according to all the sites I looked at about it.

To those who have said that you don't think the league will be worth watching if HWSNBN hangs 'em up, or is out an extended time to due to concussion.....what made you watch hockey BEFORE he started playing? What made the sport exciting to you, what made you want to follow it and obsess about it? Are those reasons going to be gone if he's not playing anymore? Is everything that made hockey what it is for you going to suddenly disappear? For f*ck's sake people, the guy is not Jesus Christ, no matter what some people here (or in the media) would have you believe.

I don't coach an NHL team, I wouldn't know the first thing to do if presented with the option of doing it, so I'm not going to second-guess someone who gets paid to do this for a living, and has done so for many, many years. We've scored 12 goals the last two games, and given up only 2. I don't think we're going to lose 13-0 tomorrow because we didn't practice today.

The league was enjoyable before him, it will be enjoyable after him. No one player is the NHL, not even any one player on the Red Wings. Your obsession with this man is borderline creepy. Stop it.

I think we've seen the last of him this season. As much as I can't stand the ******-canoe, concussions are no laughing matter. They need to be taken seriously at all times, regardless of who they've happened to. I hope he retires to a goat farm in Saskatchewan or something. That way his brain doesn't get scrambled any more and he can live a normal life, and the rest of us can get on with enjoying hockey sans HWSNBN.

Who defines their fandom based on what other people think? If you say you're a Red Wings fan, you're a Red Wings fan, even if you have 15 other players' jerseys hanging up in your closet. Whether we agree or disagree with that means nothing. I personally wouldn't wear another team's colors, and frankly, don't have the money to spend on them even if I did, but that's me. We're both still fans at the end of the day. Don't worry about what other people here think. You are accountable to you, and no one else.

I'm not surprised we got hosed. Face it, the former Western conference, or whatever the hell conference we're in now, needs a big name team, and that's us. No way they were going to let the team jump ship. While our travel becomes moderately easier (which means less staying up until the witching hour for us fans).....it's not everything I had hoped for. I completely understand. I'd hate to have Semin in my pool. This was quite the enjoyable hockey game. I didn't get to see all of it, I think I fell asleep part-way through the 3rd, but I figured barring some horrifying event, we wouldn't give up 6 straight goals and lose. Let's win the next one, and the one after that, and the one after that.
