I cried when Steve retired, absolutely. I knew it was coming, but on the other hand when it happened, you wished for more time. That being said, there have been losses where I've cried, sure. Game 4 of the '95 SCF? Game 6 of the '96 WCF? We've had a few losses that on an emotional level, were hard to take.

I didn't see anywhere in this thread where he mentioned he didn't know who won the Conn Smythe last year. We as a community should be far more welcoming to new members, whether they're new to the team or the board.

Corey Perry is clearly trying to become the 90s version of Claude Lemieux; that one player who you hate so much, if you hear his name, smoke will come out of your ears.

Just because someone is new to the board, doesn't mean they're new to hockey/the Wings. I've only been here a year, but I've been following the team for 15 years. It's kind of asinine to assume that just because he just registered here he can't tell the difference between a puck and his elbow.

If the hockey karma juju gods smile on us and we win the Cup next month, if Ozzie keeps this up and doesn't win.......I'm going to be ******* pissed off. I could understand Hank winning it last year, he had a hell of a playoff season. But Ozzie has practically put this team on his jock strap so far and we wouldn't be facing the Hawks if not for him saving our bacon more than once. Now I have to go cleanse my juju karma so that the preceding two paragraphs don't jinx the Wings.

I don't care if people take shots at the Blackhawks, I'm not a Hawks fan. I do care when people take shots at Chicago the city, because that's my hometown, where my and our family's roots are and where 99% of my friends still live. -

Of course they are, we're divisional rivals and the teams go waaaaaaaaaaay back. There's how many years of history between the two teams? How many younger Wings fans even know where the Octopus as our playoff mascot even comes from? That doesn't meant that Hawks fans as a whole are bad people no more than Wings fans as a whole are bad people. I wish all sides would show some class and just root for their team to win rather than get hung up on stupid chants, dumb jokes and all that nonsense. "Let's Go Wings" should be all we need to say and all they need to hear. -

I miss Scotty. I love Babs, don't get me wrong. He's done great things with this team. But I miss Scotty. -
See, I prefer to let Ozzie's play be what gets rubbed in their faces, rather than me going "ha ha" or something. I really hope if the hockey karma juju gods smile on us and we lift the Cup again, everyone that never doubted Ozzie and got s*** on by people for it all have a nice thread where people just apologize to us for being so rude.

My father is a Blackhawks fan. So yeah, I've met them. What's your point? I've met more douchebag Red Wings fans than I have douchebag fans of any other team. Does that mean I think all Wings fans are like those people? Nope. -

Eh, let them cry. They benefitted enough from shoddy goals and poor reffing, one of which would have probably ended the series long before tonight. Although you know damn well if the Ducks had won on an iffy goal, the server here would crash like the Hindenburg.
