Kronwall and Stuart may be hitting a lot less now
Electrophile replied to jollymania's topic in General
We'll all get over it. If you can't get over it, I don't know what else to tell you. I'm 100% certain that my ability to enjoy a Red Wings hockey game will not be diminished one bit if Kronner and Stu can't leave their feet anymore when they hit someone. -
Winning is a whole lot of fun. We should go back to doing that.
-
They're called pointe shoes, Kevin.
-
JIMMY MOTHERf***ING HOWARD.
-
Another s***ty penalty?
-
His father died. He's on bereavement.
-
I look at it this way - at least we're not losing. I expect 10x better for the 2nd.
-
We Will Rock You played on an organ sucks. Invest in Queen's recording, please.
-
Yay for FRW's feed - he has FS Detroit.
-
Let's right this ship. Losses are sucky.
-
Neither Ken nor Mick are calling the game tonight. Ken Daniels is on bereavement leave because his father recently died. Dave Strader and Larry Murphy are calling the game. That said, if you can put up with the Avs announcers, go with them. If you can't, watch FRW's feed. Choice is yours. REAL loud "Let's Go Red Wings" chant.
-
.....or you can watch FRW's feed, which is the Detroit announcers.
-
I have to get up at 6, so I'll watch as much of this game as I can. Hopefully by the time I knock off for the night, the Wings will have a nice, comfortable, 4-goal lead.

Nicklas Lidstrom calling one of his former teammates dumb? In a magazine? I call bulls***.

No points for losses. You lost. You get nothing. Doesn't matter if you lose in regulation or in OT.
-
The incentive should be to win in regulation. If you can't, you get a point deducted if you win in OT. If you don't win in OT, you get another point deducted for tying. No team gets any points until the end of the game, be it regulation or OT. You'll either leave with 3, 2, or 1, depending on the circumstances, but none of those points are assured. Absolutely no points will be awarded for losses. The system needs to be reformed, because in it's current state, it's a ******* mess.
-
3 pts = win 2 pts = OT win 1 pt each = tie after OT OT = 20 min. period; 5 on 5 for the first 10 minutes, 4 on 4 for the last 10 minutes; no icing Get rid of the ******* shootout, and you get no points if you lose. Also, no guaranteed points going into OT, either. It's like a consolation prize ribbon in your 3rd grade Science Fair. One of those, "Thanks for participating!" pieces of crap. You have to play to earn your points, not just show up. Getting rid of the shootout will also force teams to play harder in OT. I mean, why go all out if you know you have great shooters (like Pavs), who can score goals in a shootout? Total disincentive to not phone it in. Shootouts belong in the ASG Skills Contest and nowhere else. You don't see games decided by Hardest Slap-shot, do you? Or who can hit the most targets in a net? How about skating around those little traffic cones? First one down the ice and back up again wins for their team. If you can't tell, I really, really, really hate shootouts.

You know, as much as I love having a job at the moment, I hate getting up at 6 a.m. I could handle it better in my early 20s, but now that this old biddy is creaking toward 30, I don't handle it so good anymore.
-
Ooh, bitchy fans.
-
$10 bucks that Mule has no ******* clue what Pavs is saying.
-
I figured. BTW, I've sent you les messages on le Twitter.
-
Another stupid penalty? Yeesh.
-
Poor Mule. The kid just ignored him.
-
Oh well, if the commissioner promised to look into it, we're going to get boned in some way. Watch, they'll make us play nothing but teams out West.
-
I very sincerely hope the Red Wings get into some situation where they no longer have to travel to the West Coast. Whether it's that regions suggestion, or moving to the Eastern Conference, I'm all for whatever gets the Wings out of where they're at right now.
