Speaking as someone who is as an avid a fan of baseball as she is of hockey.......you couldn't be more wrong if you deliberately set out to be more wrong. You know jack and squat about baseball and it shows. I have found that the people who whine about how boring baseball is have never actually attempted to learn the nuances of the game, the same as people who say hockey is boring. There are more to these sports than just what we see. Quit being so absurdly narrow-minded.

Can't people have their quirks and superstitions? Just like you don't talk about a no-hitter/perfect game in progress, you don't discuss upcoming playoff opponents before the series you're in finishes. It's all harmless, we know that we can't affect what happens on the ice.....it's just a way for us to feel involved.

I used to despise Kerry Fraser. He always seemed to ref the games between the Avs and Wings back in the late 90s/early 00s and without fail, something would happen in those games. You almost knew we were going to get bulls*** calls levied against us and at least one player was going to be on the other end of a dirty hit and he'd do jack squat about it. Total assface. Hated him. Now it's O'Halloran's turn.

Grow up. I can't stand when trolls sign up here just to act like fools, I can imagine hard-core fans of the Ducks don't want people signing up over there just to do the same. It's childish, immature and frankly....a complete waste of everyone's time. Is it too hard to act like adults or am I asking too much?

Holy. Crap. WTG Pavs!!! God, I hope he wins even though I know he won't. Although maybe he will. It's hard to deny the effect he has on the team and just how important he really is.

Sorry, I can't see it happening. And it shouldn't happen. Fedorov is not a franchise player like Steve and Nick. He didn't define the team. Was he instrumental? Sure, but so were all our other top-tier players on the team at the time. I want to see Vladdy's number retired, but what Ilitch has done insofar as take his number out of circulation is sufficient for right now.

If there's a debate, the answer is no. He did good things with us, but he basically pissed on our faces on the way out the door. I cannot see our management rewarding that with a retired number.

I don't doubt that Lemieux could score, he did win the Conn Smythe award in '95. However, when I think of a prototypical "goon", his is the first name that comes to mind. He was physical, but unnecessarily so. And I think calling some of his hits "stupid choices" is being kind.

Goon =/= enforcer Aaron Downey would be an example of an enforcer. Claude Lemieux was a goon. I see a difference at least.

Maybe if ESPN went back to carrying hockey games like they used to, they might be better at it. Right now expecting ESPN to report on hockey correctly would be like going to the MLB Network for soccer news.

I don't think the guys will let their intensity levels drop just because of the long lay-off. I think the time to rest up and heal (for the injured parties) will only serve to strengthen us in the next round. A younger, less-experienced team might be a cause for concern but I think we're alright.

WTF is wrong with these people? Can't they be physical without turning into goons? My God, it's like someone let loose a preschool on the ice and gave them all sticks. I expect little kids to pull crap like that, not grown men. They all need to grow up.
