I'm back from dinner......we're winning, I hope.

Meaningless, but I'd still like them to win them regardless.

Bleeding vein likely to keep Lilja out for start of postseason
Electrophile replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
I'm not a doctor (although I do play one on TV), but my limited knowledge tells me that if a vein is bleeding, they would have to go in and cauterize it to stop the bleeding, before the blood seeps in the cranial cavity. I've seen enough of those hospital series on Discovery Health to know they talk about that a lot, especially with closed-head injuries, which this is. In a closed-head injury there's nowhere for the blood to escape from, it just pools around. Frankly, I want to know why nothing has been done about it to this point. If this was me, and the doctor told me I had a bleed in my brain, I'd be asking when I was booked for the operating room. Because something like this can rapidly get out of control. This is the circuit breaker of the human body we're talking about here, not the appendix. Not knowing where the vein is located or what kind of bleed it is, I don't know how high on the "Really Severe s*** Here, Folks" scale this is. I've never even heard of this occurring as a result of a concussive injury. I'd say I hope this isn't severe, but a bleeding vein in the brain IS severe, regardless. I think we're already at "severe" and hoping this doesn't move into "really freakin' severe". I pray that my worst fears are just that.....fears. This just doesn't sound right......it sounds off. I hope you understand where I'm coming from. -
I wonder if the Arby's people aren't secretly casting voodoo spells on us to keep the guys from getting a hat trick because they don't want to shell out free food. *adjusts tin foil hat*

A bleeding vein is not something you mess with. Don't expect him on the ice any time soon. Anything that deals with the lungs, heart or brain is automatic shut-down mode. -
I'll take one of each of those.

Wings win, Pavs with the hat trick. Yes, I'm trying something different here. Maybe if I don't predict him to get it, he'll get it.
-
Congrats, Ozzie. Monumental achievement you should be very proud of.

Datsyuk awarded 97th point after the game
Electrophile replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Good on you Hank for pointing that out. Very selfless. I'm sure Pavs can get the 3 points by the end of the season. With the amount of time he has the puck, he's almost guaranteed one goal or assist a game. -
Pavs is amazing. Chairman Mao had his Little Red Book, I would love to see what Pavs' Little Red Book would be full of. For having a minimal command of English, he has a great sense of humor and comic timing, which even native speakers have trouble with.

Or #5, whichever works.

Someone score! Preferably a Wing wearing #81.
-
Get Hossa the you-know-what.
-
Ozzie has looked great tonight.
-
Who cares? We're winning.
-
Come on Marian.........one more goal. DETROITERS NEED ROAST BEEF.
-
No s***. I knew they could play like this, they just had a rough stretch.
-
I like when the Red Wings hockey club scores goals.
-
I don't want Nick getting into fights. Sorry.
-
Nevermind this right here, the Wings are *******. Someone told us that.
-
Thank you.
-
Can we score on this PP, please?
-
Come on guys, get something going here.
-
How can someone be visibly bleeding and there's no call? That just doesn't make sense.
-
You know, this should be a reference equation for the refs. Blood = penalty
