Warm 7-Up and saltines are a godsend when you don't have the nauseous flu. When I was a kid, we always had bottles of it in the pantry, where it would stay warm, in the event of someone getting sick. Also, drink lots of Gatorade. You need to replenish fluids, even if you're not throwing up.

The Wings won in '97 on my birthday. You'd think that would be awesome. Well, I was in the fetal position on the floor in my bedroom, in so much pain from various stomach ailments, I actually contemplated jumping out a window. I managed to crawl towards the TV when they won, so I got to see that. So yeah, I totally know.

Just that they need to concentrate more on their defensive skills. That it's an important component of their game and they need to work harder at tightening up. That's about all I caught, I really wasn't listening hard.

Listnening to the pre-game, Kronner's English is right up there with Nick's in term of lack of accent. I know people born here in the States whose English is horrid. That's kind of embarrassing when you think about it.

New Jersey. That was piss-poor if ever there was a definition of piss-poor. How in the name of God we lost to that team, I'll never know. They were sub-.500.....we were the best team in the league. Talk about a gut-shot that came out of nowhere. I cried for days. Of course I was 13 at the time and emotionally unstable to start with, but it just made things worse.

It's funny you say that because a lot of baseball fans I know think ESPN stands for "East Coast Sports Network" because they have an unhealthy obsession with the Yankees and Red Sox. Which I think to some extent is true.
