From the looks of the camera angles that FS Detroit was playing, it appears Kronner's shot went right through and hit Raycroft, rather than Homer. I think they're funny. They add character.

Speaking only for myself, not liking Conklin isn't the problem. It's the way you go about saying you don't like him. I come here to talk Red Wings hockey with grown-ups. If you discussed your dislike of Conklin like a grown-up and explained why you think Howard is better/why we should trade him/etc., people would be far less inclined to -1 your posts. A lot of posters here have their issues with players for one reason or another, but they discuss those issues rationally and intelligently (most of the time), and there's no problem. Food for thought.

Which is beginning to get annoying. There's more to hockey than fights, and the Red Wings are not going to turn into the Broad Street Bullies from the 1970s. We haven't been that kind of team in decades, and it's time to just suck it up and accept it.

I'm not sure if you watched many games last season or not, but we were injured. A lot. To the point that many of our regular goal scorers were sidelined for huge chunks of the season. Which would go a long way to explaining why Cleary, someone who you say is merely a "depth player", was our #2 scorer. When that many people above you on the totem pole get knocked off, you find yourself suddenly a lot closer to the top than you otherwise expected. We should rely on everyone to be able to score a goal or two, for exactly the reason I outlined above. What happens if our key producers get injured again this year? If we can't rely on the Dan Clearys of the team to score goals, we're f***ed. BTW, it is never a problem when any player on your team scores 30 goals in a season.

I was talking about the fact that it was very slow to load for me last night, sometimes to the point of me having to exit out of my browser, and re-start it again. My Internet wasn't a problem, because I had the game playing in another browser, with no difficulty.

I think that's ridiculous - Pavs is on the bench, but he has to come off the bench to go to the penalty box. Just take the worst person on the ice for the Wings and put him in the box.
