We're Red Wings fans. Our ultimate objective is to win the Stanley Cup. We cannot do that with an injured Nick Lidstrom. We need everyone at 100% (or close enough) to achieve our main goal. The ASG is a meaningless, stupid exhibition game. Now tell me again which is more important for Nick and for his fans.

I think the fights were far more entertaining when they could do just about anything short of killing the other person. Jerry Springer fights I used to call it. Bring back the entertainment!

Nothing wrong with gambling and legal hookers. Hell, prostitution should be legal anyway but that's another thread. I just don't think Vegas is synonymous with hockey. I hope they don't. I want Nick and Pav to sit out. If they're legitimately injured, and we all believe they are, then sitting out an extra game would only be good for them, not bad. Holland SHOULD make a comment that due to their injuries, they weren't going to play Tuesday anyway. It'll make Bettman look like a bigger anus than he already is, which should always be the primary goal. I'm more pissed about Crosby not being suspended as well than the fact Nick and Pav got clipped. What's good for one (or two) should be good for all.

Call me crazy, but did this need an article? Not bemoaning the posting of it here of course, just wondering why this was news to start with. I didn't think anyone gave a rip what the refs/linesmen wore.

I have none. There's no special clothes I wear, or special things I drink (I don't drink anyway) or places I go for games, be they regular season or playoff. I just sit and watch the game.

I wasn't watching anyway, and this basically solidified it for me. If the game was in Detroit, I might watch, but probably not for long. Maybe one day the ASG and SuperSkills contest will be interesting again and myself and others like me will watch it again. Until then, enjoy your vacations boys.
