You can get suspended in baseball for putting your hands on an ump, so I don't see why people are bothered by a player getting suspened for manhandling a ref in the NHL. There needs to be lines in the sand (or ice, as it were) that players can't cross and this is one of them. You don't go after refs, you don't go after fans and you don't go after opposing coaches. -
My dad loves Vernors! He drank a lot of it back when we lived in Chicago. It must be a Midwest thing because once we moved to the South, we couldn't find it anymore.

I'm from Chicago, was born and raised there so I understand to a point the blue-collar we-can-stick-it-out-and-rise-again mentality Detroiters have and when people s*** on the city, I'm quick to defend it. I don't see much difference between the two cities, anyhow. It was a great read and I DO hope the city can rebound from its current lows and be a bustling, vibrant metropolis again.
