I think we need to talk Scotty Bowman into coming out of retirement and being a bench coach or something this season, because if he's on the bench barking obscenities and threats at the players, they'll get their asses in gear. Anything to make him shut up.

Just as an aside, why is it called "Movember"? Mustache begins with Mu, not Mo. I've only ever seen it spelled beginning with "Mo" when it's spelled in a foreign language, like French or Italian.

Thankfully I have friends who don't laugh at me when sports teams I root for go through rough patches. No one else in the league cares about us. We need to worry about ourselves.

I think that's a bit extreme.

While it's nice that there were times that Red Wings teams of ye olden times had similar or in some cases, worse records than this team currently does, it means nothing. These players are for the most part, not the same players that were on those teams. I don't care that the 96-97 Wings started the season 5-4-1. That team could eat this team for breakfast and then s*** them out later in the day. It's one thing to say "We're playing poorly now, but we will get better" and another to say "The 1905 Boone's Farm Biscuit Bottoms started the season 0-105 and still won the championship" as if that's a sign we'll do the same.

The only appropriate thing to do in this case is sacrifice you to the hockey gods. Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne.....that kind of thing.

What's that thing called....you know, when you don't lose? Winning, I think? Maybe we ought to try that on, see how it fits.
