The only thing I'm worried about is Pittsburgh's desperation showing more and them potentially injuring one of our guys trying to fire themselves up. They need to win tonight, and they'll come out with both guns blazing no doubt. Actually, the other thing I'm worried about is the Wings sitting back on their heels too much, knowing they're up 2-0. I want to see the same intensity from them from first horn to final horn.

I wasn't aware that people watched ESPN anymore. I used to only watch it for hockey games, but once they ditched the NHL, I have no reason to turn the network on. If I want to see hockey highlights, conversation and interviews/press conferences, I turn on the NHL Network. ESPN Classic is about the only redeeming thing about the ESPN franchise.

I see where you're going with this. I think there's some truth to it. Remember when you were a kid and you scraped your knee, but you screamed and cried like you got shot, just because you wanted someone to come over and ask if you were okay? Because otherwise you'd be ignored? Maybe a little of that is what's going on here. If the call needs to be made, and the refs aren't making that call.....we should do what we need to (within reason) to get the call made. Now, if you're trying to sell something that's NOT a penalty.....then there's a problem.

I don't consider selling a fall to be dirty. Dirty play to me is cheap shots to the head/face, slashing people, knocking our goalie's head into the pipes.....stuff like that. Dirty implies to me, intent to injure, intent to knock out of game. Getting hit and then acting a little to draw a penalty isn't up there with the tactics Claudette LePuke used to entertain us with.

I call it "competitive advantage". We know how to work the system, they don't. Hence why they're whining. I think Ozzie can be a great actor at times, but I saw that last hit he took and the back of his head did hit the pipes. He fell backwards and down after that.....I wouldn't call that a dive.

All gentlemen know when to use a well-timed punch to the face.

Oh please oh please oh please do not be taking a page out of Sir Sid's book. I understand that as a Pens fan, you're disappointed in your team's play, I know we'd all be the same way if the roles were reversed. But please don't start insinuating that the refs have it in for you, that they're somehow in cahoots with us, or anything else of the like.

He's right. The Penguins are better than the Wings. At being whiny ***** toolboxes. Physicality is part of this game, so I don't care much about the skirmishes that were happening throughout. I had a BIG problem with someone taking a cheap shot at Franzen's head, especially when everyone knows he was out with concussion-like symptoms. That's like asking someone who's blind to tell you what color they're wearing. It makes absolutely no sense and you'll just look like a moron when you're done. Sir Sid needs to check himself, because he's coming off like a 5 year old who didn't get that Schwin for Christmas. During a play stoppage I noticed him speaking quite animatedly at one of the linesmen, I can only assume he was telling him that the poor poor pitiful Penguins are being stifled. Like someone said, I can't see OUR captain doing that. Nick is waaaaay smarter than that and it shows. He graduated from the Steve Yzerman School of NHL Captaincy. Perhaps Nick should send over some pamphlets or something. Ozzie is a great actor and I thought he sold that last hit at the end of the game a little, but you don't knock the goalie over. Especially not when you're losing by 3 goals and there's a minute left in the game. What are you attempting to prove with it? The Pens are desperate and while they have played extremely well at home since February, we're the 2nd best road team in the league, so it won't be a cakewalk for them. Last thought about the game: PLEASE GET NEW REPORTERS ASKING NEW QUESTIONS. I am so sick of these idiots asking questions someone who didn't even watch the game could answer. How many times was Ozzie going to have to reiterate that no, he doesn't worry about what playoff record he's broken/is breaking?

Fortunately I only have to work until 9 tonight, so I'll be able to watch the majority of the game. I missed all of Game 1 because I had to work. Why can't my boss understand how important Red Wings hockey is? Southerners. *hmmph*

I would love for Ozzie to get it. As I said in my comments following the game, since Game 5 of the series against Nashville, he's been godly. There's a lot of other worthy candidates on the team, but in the end.....I would love for him to get it.

Mike Babcock: Next time a reporter asks you a dumb question, just get up and smack the guy. In fact, that goes for everyone. Who pulled these people in for the pressers? I don't think half of them had press credentials; I think my sister who knows nothing about hockey could have asked better questions. "So umm, how did you feel when the goal got disallowed?" What would make that better is if right after he hit the ice and popped up, the word "FAIL" flashed. Because that was an epic fail.

I'd rather play Dallas. That way we're not sitting for a long time and we don't have to worry about facing a team coming off a series win like that. They would have a ton of momentum and we would have been sitting the whole time. It's best to get back out there quickly so everyone stays fresh.
