My hatred for the Pens is on par with my hatred of the Avs in the late 90s. I mean, I seriously loathe these assholes. Though to give the 90s Avs some credit, at least they had one player I didn't outright despise; Joe Sakic. There's no one on the Pens even remotely redeemable to me. -

I look forward to watching this hockey match-up in the hopes that the Flyers of Philadelphia will do that thing where they beat a team that has not won a game in the entire series. -
The crowd looks/sounds as narcoleptic as the team on the ice. I'd love for the fans to get into the game, maybe light a fire under their asses, but the fans would have to attend the game, and then stay the whole game in order for that effect to take place.

I think a lot of people here are confusing realism with pessimism/bridge-jumping. No one, aside from the fans of other teams, wants the Red Wings to lose. I don't think we're going to win, but I'm going to watch the game anyway. I'm a fan, that's what I do. However, I also love the team enough to realize we're deeply flawed. So again, please don't confuse people being realistic with people saying, "f*** this team, I'm rooting for Vancouver."

No, I don't think we will. I didn't think we would at the beginning, and I continue not to think we will. Nashville has the better team, they're outplaying us, and they look more like they want to win. It's time to quit coasting on the late 90s/early 00s. That's a decade and a half gone by now. Time to move on.

I've been to Chattanooga - very nice place. We drove up there a couple times to go to the aquarium. Also, we always used to stop at a Waffle House right outside of town to get breakfast when driving back up to Illinois. I've never been to Memphis, though I'd like to eventually. -
I don't want to be anything like Pittsburgh. If we're going to lose, I'd like to lose with some class, instead of going out like little *******.

Actually Nashville is a very nice city. I've been there more than a few times. If you're looking for the capital* of Hickville....ever been to West Virginia? I have. The family trees there look like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. They don't fork. I had to drive through WV to get to Illinois to bury my grandmother a couple years ago, and there were some places we went through that looked like the set of Deliverance. *capital is for places, Capitol is where our Congress meets
