Goalies that have won the Conn Smythe Trophy and some lost with some stats. 97' Mike Vernon - 25 shots a game. 1.76 GAA .927 SV% 01' Patrick Roy - 27 shots a game. 1.70 GAA .934 SV% 03' J.S. Giguère - 33 shots a game. 1.62 GAA .945 SV% New Jersey won the Cups and Brodeur never won the Conn Smythe Trophy once. 95' Brodeur 23 shots a game 1.67 GAA .927 SV% 00' Brodeur 22 shots a game 1.61 GAA .927 SV% 03' Brodeur 26 shots a game 1.65 GAA .934 SV% If I had to give it to a goalie it would be Fleury before Ozzie and I am a Wings fan. Ozzie is only averaging 21 shots a game. In this series he has let in a few goals that shouldn't have went in. Tying goal in game 5 if he hugs the Post we would be getting ready for the Parade in Detroit. This is Pittsburgh shots 3rd Period shots 4 shots - 1 goal 1st OT 2 shots 3rd OT 4 shots - 1 goal . They didn't have more then 8 shots in 1 period last night. 1st period in game 5 he lets in 2 goals on 5 shots. IF this series goes 7, which I hope doens't happen FLEURY will win the Conn Smythe win or lose the Cup. Fleury has 172 more shots then Ozzie and they have the same stats almost except for the GAA. Zettie should get it before Ozzie

Chelios has to play for Lilja IMO. How much faster is Lilja to Chelios. NOT much IMO. Homer says he is playing.

Why didn't the Preds, Avs and Stars complain about the WINGS obstruction??????? Funny how I read different boards from PENS fans about how they think the Pens outplayed the WINGS when the WINGS outshot them. Detroit had more then a few good chances in the 3rd period to tie the game. Therrien is a bad coach and is a whiner. His team can't compete with the WINGS 5 on 5. At times it looks like the WINGS have a 6 on 5 vs the PENS. I can't stand Therrien. I hope Dats and Zettie explode tomorrow night with Points and shut his cake hole.

Zettie or Osgood right now. Even though Ozzie has only been facing 20 shots a game he has made big saves for the WINGS. I personally think Osgood saved the Wings playoffs. I didn't have a lot of confidence in Hasek after games 3 and 4 vs the PREDS. As long as the Wings win the Cup I don't care.

Hopefully he didn't get hurt on that Hal Gill hit in the last 5 minutes. He may have pulled his groin on that hit.

Lilja played bad. Stuart played bad. They were both brutal but Lilja has to go. He is so brutal with the puck. Doesn't even fit with this team imo. I hope they don't resign him.

That disallowed goal on Datsyuk's goal was a joke. Holmstrom wasn't even in the crease. Ref didn't even go up stairs just waved off. Why have a video replay? As far a Dats running into Turco and it going in that should have counted, lol. Like the Ducks did to the Wings last year it counted but not these playoffs.

This topic is premature but...... The 2nd line is not good, imo. Meaning Samuelsson has to go. A few good wingers (free agents) that could help put the puck in the net, would help this 2nd line. They would be stupid not resigning Brad Stuart after these playoffs. A few wingers that could fill the 2nd line spot for the Wings. Some are will not even talk to the Wings but some may fit in well. Some of you may think I am crazy.... Nagy, Ladislav Naslund, Markus Nolan, Owen Svatos, Marek Rolston, Brian Ryder, Michael Jagr, Jaromir don't think he would come. Hossa, Marian Langkow, Daymond York, Mike Morrison, Brendan Sundin, Mats A few Wings defenseman that are Free Agents, wow. I don't think the Wings need to handle Ribeiro in these playoffs and I am sure the team will say the same thing. Write down the number and take notes for next season. I mean it is not like TURCO has been an Angel in his own end sending Filppula in the air and chopping Holmstrom like a Christmas tree. Let's worry about winning the Cup.

As you stated for sure they would be up Lidstrom and Rafalski. I am more concerned with MORROW then RIBEIRO for production. RIBEIRO has crazy speed but MORROW hits, scores and was all over the ice in the Sharks series. I find Morrow more consistent player then RIBEIRO. Like the site.
