I'd just like to take this moment to recount an (abridged) tale of my first Red Wings game in person. In the pre-pre-game warmups, the guys were all lined up along the boards and would do the drill where they pass to the guy in the center and he'd shoot it on net. Whatever. No big deal. Anyway, I'm up against the boards watching everything with rapt amazement. At one point, Homer was directly in front of me and chatting with someone to his left (Hudler?). Anyway, out of the corner of my eye I see this massive red bullet come flying into my field of view and full-speed check the BEJESUS out of Homer right into the glass. I mean he LAID into him hard. And that bullet was Franzen.

Detroit should definitely try throwing some of their garbage (Hudler) at Philadelphia as it worked out quite well for them in the past (Leino). If we could get a Hartnell for Happy I'd be...well...happy!

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're drunk and hence have an overinflated sense of your comedic talents (spoiler: not funny). Our top four D-men are solid. If you'd asked me a few days ago I would have said get rid of Salei and E, but I think Ericsson could use a little more time to get comfortable with playing D. Once that happens, there's a good chance we'll see more physicality out of him. Salei can go. Rafalski is killing us with that contract, but when he wants to be effective he generally can, so it's not the end of the world. In summary: Not funny. Salei gone, Ericsson as #6, sign someone to play be #5.

Tampa Bay Yzerbolts ftw, please. As far as the WCF Battle of the Chokers 2011......I'd like to see it go to seven with everyone getting demolished and the Canucks just barely winning the series, only to get swept by Tampa Bay.
