Are you kidding me? I live in Dallas. We play in Dallas. We could win the cup, sign Gretzky himself out of retirement, go 82-0 amass every single individual award possible and we would still be back page material. A Detroit Red Wing fan complaining about not being in the media enough is laughable from my stand-point.

Again, why does it matter? Your team is up 2-0 and probably is going win the cup. Why does the media have such a big affect on you?

Waaaah. My team doesn't get any credit. Waaaah. You're a fan of the f***in' Detroit Red Wings. Your credit is hangin' in the rafters. Who gives a s*** what Scott Burnside is writing about?

Im pretty sure this type of thing happens in most sports. I know the Stars raise ticket prices a few bucks when we play "premium" opponents. It's not just Detroit..teams like Boston, Montreal, New York, Anaheim...along those lines. The Texas Rangers charge more for games against Boston, New York, Houston, Atlanta, Philly. This goes on in all sports.

He pretty much wheeled out a trampoline on some of those. The legal ones were good, though.

Im not attempting to take credit away or anything like that. I understand these dives and whatnots had little to zero effect on the outcomes. Detroit has been playing pretty flawless. I just dont like to see this stuff, ever. You know? The mantra of "everyone does it. we need to, as well", needs to be destroyed soon. But, for now everyone does it and will continue to. I hope this series goes 7. I just want to be entertained.

1. Im not complaining about anyone diving. All I said was they both dove. I couldn't care less if they dive everytime they are looked at. It doesn't matter to me. It's not my team. 2. I dont care about what Crosby said. I never quoted him. What he said has nothing to do with what I said. I just get a little tired of people(not you in specific) who complain about Crosby diving and Bettman's conspiracy against the Wings(mainly last round). And then Osgood just fell into the net causing him to spill to the ice. Or that the impact of his head on the pipes must have thrown him off balence. He dove. And, Franzen.....well, he....he just had a concussion. He embellished. Riberio dove/embellished in Montreal. Modano will embellish from time to time. Turco will push the net off the moorings. Im not blind to what my team does/did. My problem isn't the fact that your players dove/embellished, cause I know it's sort of a part of the game now. My problem is people not having a problem with it. Just making excuses like the ones cited above.

One suggestion: Joke Book....put it down. Anyways, I dont play golf. Why the need for a teams fans to repeatedly bring up golfing in the off-season is beyond me. You're not funny or original. The fact that the Stars are no longer in the playoffs has no bearing on Franzen embellishing. I wonder if you say this stuff and then are one of the ones who make 100 threads about how classy Red Wings fans are.

Franzen's initial reaction to the punch was natural. It was only after he spotted the ref did he begin his embellishment.

Don Cherry was a miserable coach and a worse analyst. He dresses like a goddamn toucan so he can garnish attention because his analysis and rhetoric is below substandard. He's potentially worse than Barry Melrose and it's just fitting that he ends up on the WWL. Why they keep letting these tired, retread has-been coaches analyze hockey is beyond me. In Cherry's world, the NHL would be best served to ban all euros. It's the sort of draconic bulls*** thats bringing the league down. He was ready to burn Ewe Krupp at the stake but had no problem turning a blind eye when a north american player does the exact same thing. Like last night, Datsyuk refuses to back down from anyone, even giving Roberts some punches during the end of the game scrum. When asked about it, Cherry mocked him as if he was saying "get away from me" with a homosexual flair. Anyone associated with the game knows that Datsyuk is incredibly gifted and extraordinarily strong. The myth that Europeans can't play tough is ludicrus and reeks of cultural bias. Kronwall has delivered the best hits of the playoffs thus far and - god forbid - he's swedish. That can't happen, can it? Those calling the current NHL garbage are off base, in my opinion. I loved the mid-90's - they were exciting because of marquee matchups and media exposure. The NHL currently has a ton of talent of hearkening back to the days of the dump and chase and the Lemaire-trap is rubbish. The NHL needs to make a minor change to the obstruction calls, get referees to standardize their calls, get back on the WWL, and fire Bettman. There's tons of skill; it just needs to be highlighted better. The problem isn't the product, its the presentation and management of that product.

Im not bitter at all. We lost to the better team. Read my posts. You know what you're probably right. Osgood probably just completly lost his balence after that crushing blow to the glove hand. Not to mention how he totally smashed his skull on the steel pipes of the goal. I mean, how did he survive?

Well, it's in video for you. right there. I gave this team full credit for winning the series between the two, but these are dives. Im not rooting for the Pens, or Detroit. I dont really care all that much, I just wanna see some good games(not yet, so far). But, from an outsider watching...Dive.

Both of these are dives.

First off might I say congrats. Well, you guys scored quick and often and then did a good job sitting on it. There isn't a whole lot to say about the game. We had a bunch of powerplays and didn't capitalize until it was too late. As for the threads about Turco being over-hyped...all I can say is LOL. When we win its usually alot of his doing. When we lose he's the "worst goaltender ever". Get off his back. He's not over-hyped. He;s right where he should be. There aren't many, if any who can stop pucks coming from their toes. And in one case off a guys face. s*** happens. He has a poor record at the Joe, but look at how many goals we've scored there. Yeah. Not too many. I do wonder about McCarty for you guys. Could he have taken any more penalties? Interference after interference. You guys are going to have to cut that out when it comes to Pitt. He just seemed slow and out of position on a team with speed and plays very well positionally. Also, I had a slight problem with Zetterberg leaving the line during the anthem SUPER early and start to skate around. I know he usually does this (judging from the other two games), but this time it was a little disrespectful to our anthem in my opinion. Anyways, Im proud of my team. What they accomplished this year was beyond my expectations(no we dont expect to win the cup every year). They played with heart and grit this entire season and didn't stop until the end. I stayed until the end of the game to salute our boys(as did alot of our fans). What a year. The team that played better for longer won the series. Obviously, it didnt work out exactly how I wanted, but still Im pleased. Go Pens.
