Speak English. Other than that, good night, sir.

I dont partake in yelling Stars. And Red Wings fans would yell RED in the anthem. But, yeah. Good series. Enough anthem talk haha
-
It was a couple of sections over from me...they started with "Osssssssgooooood" and it morped into "Noooooooooogooooood" then died. I think we will resign him. Our G.M.s have been saying he wasn't a rental, that we are going to sign him but who knows. He's pricey. 7+ Mil.

I'll write you that paper right after you submit one on READING COMPREHENSION. Do you just skip over everything I type and make up what you want? I said I referred to the anthem as "ours" only because it was a home game. I for one, do not need to be told what the anthem represents. I come from a family with a rich military backgroung. Dont preach the anthem to me. I understand the fact that he does it. ONCE AGAIN...I UNDERSTAND THE FACT THAT HE DOES IT. What I don't understand is 1. why? 2. How come this he left atleast 30 seconds before he did the prior two times. Was he in dire need for a skate? You sir, make adult heads hurt.
-
Wow. I make no sense? Let me break it down for you. 1. It's "our" anthem because it's "our" arena. Thats all. I wasn't saying we own the anthem, just that we performed it. 2. Yes, I did know he did this from games 3 and 4. 3. It's different because he left way before he had left in the games prior. He skated around the goal a few times before it was over. 4. I dont care what you think of our team and goalie. I was just stating my opinion on a fact.
-
haha no. He's locked up. I think we're gonna stich another C on him. Nothing wrong with two C's is there? I wont be sticking around. After I read this thread and do some proper responses, i'll be out. It's been good.

3-2 Stars.

Well, we are starting to play Dallas Stars hockey. We played the defensive style hockey i've becomed accustomed to seeing. Filling lanes, forcing to the outside, blocking shots and on top of it all great goaltending. We look hungry and ready for more. Im not being a homer or anything else when I say this, but Detroit might wanna look out. I've seen this look and style of play from our guys a few times this season and we are a very streaky team to begin with. We're still down, but this series sort of turned a new page today. Marty, Marty, Marty. What skill with the puck. Yes, overall today's netminders have more skill with the pill, but wow Marty. His ability to move it where he wants it and make the downtown passes like a skilled forward is amazing. He played very well today. Peterson and crew continue to play well against Detroit's "oh god" line. Staying defensively sound while moving the puck forward. And doin it well. I dont know wether Detroit casted us aside, or just came out flat-footed, but I gotta like that we took advantage when we could. Even flat-footed Detroit is a great team. We had our chances and put it in. They seem to be losing their composure a bit as well...ie Holmstrom towards our bench. Morrow: How I love thee. Heart and soul. Moving the puck, keeping it in the zone, putting pressure, hitting/taking hits. All of it with(speculation on my part) a shoulder injury. Even takes that cross-check to the mug and keeps moving. That was a very entertaining 60 from my stand point. Lots of action and chances for both teams. Game 6 is back here at home and will give us a chance to get even closer to our goal. GO Stars.

2 down, 2 to go.
-
I agree it should be West and probably original 6. So, Detroit vs. Chicago.
-
Well, if it does come down to OT and they do drop it for horse racing....it's radio for me.

Well, I didnt get to see alot of this game( i had to work). I listened to the first and some of the 2nd. And then watched the third. We took advantage of our opportunities. Finally. Our penalty kill played how I would expect them to and our powerplay wasn't so dead this time around. It took an amazing effort on our part to pull of one win. We're beginning to win some of the smaller battles of a game and it's adding up. Faceoffs are getting better, puck possession has increased and the tempo was what we would like it to be. The goal that was waved off should have been a goal. I wont argue that. But, I can also see the "makeup" call for the goal that shouldn't of counted but did a couple of games ago. Our best players had to be our best players tonight and they were. Morrow, Modano, Zubov, Robidas...all played very well. And again, a forgotten player on our team is Toby Peterson. I was pleased with the effort he gave as well. 6-on-3. Man that was exciting to watch. I expected you guys to score but we hung tough. Ott was physical with Holmstrom and as a Stars fan you gotta like that. We dont really have the size or strength to get him out from infront of Turco so we have to be a lil scrappy. If there are any compaints to him basically laying on Holmstrom....it's what anyone in the NHL would have done. Even your team. All in all, it was just one game. It doesnt have me seeing Stanley Cups in my dreams, but it does make me look forward to game 5. All along i've been saying if we play well on special teams we will have a chance to win. A small chance but a chance nonetheless. Who knows. If we go into JLA and pull out a win, in my mind this is a whole new series. But, obviously thats a MUCH harder task than it sounds. Heres to making a series out of this thing.

Local reporters thoughts Here is a local guy's take on the game. He is one of our more knowledgeable press guys.
-
I dont put any stock into this. NBC wants the horse race over NHL any day.
-
I would like to see the net explode backward again. No doubt.
-
Yeah. Theres a calming feeling when he's on the ice for us.
-
It could have, but it wasn't. Whats the point in talking about it now? Why not discuss things about how your team could play better instead of making excuses why they didnt.
-
haha yeah. It was his first game back in forever after having a broken foot and a sports hernia

It's a little thing called humidity. They dont have it in Phoenix. It wasn't the heat that makes the ice poor. Hell it was Maybe in the low 80's yesterday. But, there was a threat of storms all day long and that created tons of humidity. The relative humidity yesterday was 90% percent. And that last statement of yours was one of the most hypocritical statements I've seen here. "Dallas whines. They wont give us credit when we win." You sir, are whining. I understand that goal should have counted, but it didn't. If you remember back to game 5 of our series against San Jose there were TWO missed calls on goals and BOTH went to Toronto for review and they still f***ed it up. But, it doesnt matter. If one or two blown calls costs you the game, you have bigger fish to fry.
-
I meant the guy who threw it tonight was ejected. And I think the complaint about swingin it is that juices would fly on the ice. I've never swung an octopus in my free time, so I have no idea on the subject.
-
I read the culprit was ejected.
-
Well, an octopus made it to our ice.
-
Didnt want to say anything for fear of being labled a troll, but this is all very true.
-
haha yeah. theres a way.
-
Never said he played "great". I used "good" and "i liked his effort". I see what you're sayin though. I didnt see you guys score and they didnt roll the highlight back far enough to see his mistake. Im still pleased with his play as of late. Edit: Also, that move of Datsyuk's in your avatar should be downright illegal haha. TOO good.
