nice pics on that site, all i gotta say is damn chelios is ripped! i would agree stewies wife looks a little older, robbin the cradle. funny to see cuba gooding w/ the cup, he's like wtf is this thing? plus jeremy piven is god, and kid rock will always look like a friggin bum when he's not in concert, but he's still the man

I don't know if I'm alone here but I think I will miss "mr. magoo", sure he wasn't perfect but then again who is (bill mccreary?) he definitely beats the piss out of that worthless cock magnet dan o'halloran. mcgeough was old school, a link to the past and it's too bad he'll be gone. P.S. if you read the whole article he even admits to his own "animated" style, he had a passion for the game just like the players

holland was already blatantly quoted as saying the team WILL be carrying an enforcer this year to protect our guys. there is a difference between grit and enforcing. we've already got tons of "gritty" guys on the team like draper, maltby, lilja, stuart, and possibly kopecky (see how he shapes up), not to mention one could also argue the grit of our superstars Z, Pav, and now hossa, who all are not afraid to throw their bodies around and fight for pucks in the corners. grittiness is not the question here, it's for when a low character guy goes after one of our guys when the games is out of hand, who is going to stop him? None of those gritty players are intimidating and their presence certainly would not detract an agitator from taking a cheap shot. The closest thing we've got to someone who will "strike fear into their hearts" is mac or downey, mark my words one or both will be signed to a contract...

obviously we've got andreas the destroyer, however don't forget we've got a new puncher on the team as of the stanlely cup finals and his name is none other than.... DATSYUK!!!! He lays the lumber, finishes those checks, and he's not afraid to throw some haymakers!!! No biggie if he hurts his hands, we've got Z, Hossa, Flip, and Franzen

I didn't see a thread that specifically dealt with this but maybe I missed it.... These are some decent veteran UFA forwards still available that I wouldn't mind seeing wear the winged wheel, whaddya think? most would only require a 1-2 year deal most likely. bobby holik (playoff veteran, strong on the puck, another big body, better than bert IMO) mark recchi (can still burry it and also has good playoff experience) owen nolan (always had a good shot, could use on the PP) michael peca (still has some wheels, good faceoffs, strong 2-way player) brian smolinski (a little lower end but still a good player)

Wings out of picture for Sundin, Hossa, Rolston
deltsig87 replied to Redwingsfan18's topic in General
I really don't see how the wings can be in the running for sundin or hossa, just maybe rolston and that's a stretch. As it stands the wings have 9.97mil of space for next season and after you figure in flip's 3-3.5mil he will get this next season then also the contracts of chelios, jimmy howard, the enforcer (mac or downey), and a young defenseman (quincey or ericsson) that leaves us about 4.5 to 5mil max space for next year. Obviously considering the numbers thrown around so far hossa or sundin will command far more than that and even with the usual detroit discount it still wouldn't come down that low, rolston would probably command at least 5mil maybe 6 on the market so with a discount it would still put us right at the cap and we know holland always likes to have some wiggle room at the deadline. So it just isn't possible to land any of these players, maybe I'll eat my words but I doubt it. -
I may have used utorrent and piratebay a couple times merely for research... anyway I might be able to help here. There are two ways to rip stuff: to play back on a PC (convert to .avi or .mpeg files) or to play back on DVD player (what you have done). You will want to keep all those files in a folder, although it will be quite large most likely. From there, you'll want to make an archive of that folder (an archive is a lot of little files that can be downloaded together to get one big file). This is the standard way of uploading things via torrent. You can create this archive with a free program called WinRAR (can get it on download.com). When you open up the winrar program it will have options for compression and setting number of files (example is say that folder is 6 GB, you can compress to maybe 4.5 GB using this program, then also split it into say 40 separate smaller files which is the archive). Then once you've got your winrar archive set you can upload/post it on the website 'piratebay.org'. Doing all of this of course is the hard part and if you can pull it off I'm sure there will be many grateful people. The easy part is for all of these people to download it. That is quite simple and will need no explanation unless asked for, however they will need to get software as well to turn that archive into a DVD. First they will also need winrar to "extract" the DVD folder from all the smaller archive files. Then from there they will need to get a special DVD burning program such as "RipIt4Me", or there's the older combo of DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter, but the newer RipIt4Me is much simpler (all these programs are free). I know that was the longest post of all time, sorry. I'm sure there are plenty of you guys out there who are even more knowledgeable about this stuff so feel free to add any input.

can anyone say, OZZIE!!!!!!!! Many of you may say he's not unsung but in my opinion he was. Nobody gave him any respect the whole year even after he started the allstar game, then of course they started "swiss cheese" hasek over him in the playoffs and the rest is history as they say. He posted some of the best numbers in his career this year and we would NOT have won the cup without him, no matter how many people say our defense is so amazing it doesn't matter who the goalie is. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, I totally just lol'd at that picture at work. Now that's funny. Don't wanna jinx the wings but we should start brainstorming some kind of similar picture for the penguins after they lose tonight. GO WINGS!!!!!!

this will be good for my first career post... first I will definitely agree w/ the prev post that it is too early to discuss this as there is still plenty of time left in the playoffs for unexpected heroics/failures from unlikely people that could change our minds... that being said here's my 2 cents barring all things remain constant: dats-hank-holmer flip-mule-sammy hudler-helm-kopecky maltby-draper-cleary (abdelkader) lidz-raf kronner-stewie ericsson-lebda (meech/quincey) ozzie-howard For some side notes, we can't break up the top 2 lines because they have been pretty damn good if u ask me. Plus I'm sick of all the hating on sammy, true the guy shoots like it's his job (wait a minute??) but have you noticed his increased intensity/tenacity these playoffs? He's hitting guys & finishing his checks plus he's been mixing it up and gettin in guys faces a lot, I think that says something about him, and I like it. Next I think u guys have a short memory and forgot how well kopecky was playing at the end of the season before his injury. We need his skill and PHYSICALITY, plus not to mention he fights! Keeping Helm is a no brainer if u ask me, he's got lightning feet and he's got good poise (so far at least). Lilja is garbage can't wait till he goes, Ericsson is his replacement/upgrade. He's bigger and handles the puck better, shoots harder, and also Ericsson fights too! Drake, Cheli, Hasek, and Mac are all past their primes and we simply don't have the room for them anymore, very thankful for their contributions to the red & white though. Lastly we've got to keep Lebda, his speed and puck movement is a necessity, Ericsson and Quincey is a bad combo because it lacks speed. Personally I think Meech will be better w/ a year or two more of development. The future is bright and we have the deepest team in the league by far, jesus look at our 4th line!! GO WINGS!!!!!!
