I think Laraque is usually a bigmouth seeking for attention. Sometimes people like him do good things too by bringing up subjects that otherwise might not see the light of day. I understand him not naming any players as he doesn't want to throw any individuals under the bus. Isn't he attacking the league and not the players? Perhaps his book leads to changes in the future in the way of strickening the rules and testing.

Nowhere in that article it says that he tries to make a comeback in the NHL. Yes, he was shaky in the 2008 playoffs but he also won the Jennings trophy that season with Osgood. Some here say that he's too old now to return but who has seen him play lately? -

This page says that Vernon won the Conn Smythe without playing a game. By the way, the so called "Dead Wings" era is often counted to have begun on the 1966-67 season. Wings started that season 5-4-1 too and during the next 17 seasons they made playoffs only twice. We might still be effed.
