    Weekend Picks: Week 1

I just checked and the site works fine for me. Perhaps it was just a momentary crash. Or maybe you need to try it with a different browser. I hope you can get it to work as the site is really good. It shows all the results and rankings right away after the games.

    NHL.com starting rosters

I remember him in Anaheim as Drew. There was also a fella named Niklas Kronvall.

    Leafs acquire David Steckel

It's never a bad idea to have some spares especially with Connolly and Lombardi on your roster. Centers can often play wing unlike the other way round. Red Wings usually ice 5-6 centers.

    Weekend Picks: Week 1

Looks good. Will there still be a notification on this site each week when new picks are up?

    Hudler?

    That quote was about Nyquist.

    Kindl

What? Was? Qué? Pardon? So nice to see that Ritola is back too.

    Diving

I meant that that's what's supposed to happen. I have no idea why Semin wasn't thrown into "the room".

    Diving

That actually happens. The "quiet room", you know? After getting hit to head the player is forced to stay in the room for 15 (?) minutes while a doctor holds his hand and makes him watch MTV. If the player looks like he's enjoying the program the doctor deems the player concussioned and won't allow him to return to the ice.

    Brunnstrom is signed.

I don't think that would've made any difference as when a team makes a claim on a player their plan usually is to keep the player in their roster. A two-way deal kicks player's butt as it shows that the team ain't afraid to send him down if he isn't playing well enough.

    The Official NHL Suspension Thread

Shanahan didn't suspend Ryan Malone for this hit on Chris Campoli: NHL.com

    Brunnstrom is signed.

And you too. Change the record already.

    Brunnstrom is signed.

Oh, come on! A veteran like you making a rookie mistake. 2 way deal means only that his salary will be different in the AHL. He'll still have to pass through waivers.

    Brunnstrom is signed.

You've become quite a troll lately.

    Diving

I understand that you're just trying to provoke, but I'm bored so I'll play along. What's your answer if I say that while diving is ugly and childish it has never ended anyone's career?

    No-touch icing

    That makes sense. Thanks.
  17. P. Marlowe

    Brunnstrom is signed.

If Wings at some point of the season have to waive one of their forwards it means that everyone's healthy. That would be quite something.

    No-touch icing

I've been wondering about the hybrid icing... Doesn't it allow just the kind of icings which have the risk the lead to injuries? The ones in which there's a chase and a good chance for the forward to get the puck.

    Gustav Nyquist

I thought that this was about all thing Nyquist. So, was he good in school? Any scars or moles? Seriously though, sometimes it's really difficult to not have thread go off topic. Sometimes people write something that's not quite on the topic but still you can't resist answering. Same thing happens in real life conversations.

    Gustav Nyquist

You have a point and I respect that. It's just that writing things like above makes you sound a bit :carrot:  :puke: :patriot: In my opinion everyone can pronounce names just like they want to. I don't think there are rules for that. To me names don't change even if language changes. This ain't a big deal but learning to pronounce someone's name in the way that it was originally intended shows respect. But this doesn't mean that if you don't do this it's disrespectful or rude. Just a nice little gesture among other nice little gestures that can make a foreign person feel welcome.

    No-touch icing

Thank you. Now I understand everything, not only about ice hockey, but about life as well.

Will be an interesting week with Nyquist and Brunnstrom plus all the injuries.

I think it was for the referee. It must be the preseason as Babcock's laughing during the time-out.

10/2 Exhibition GDT: Pittsburgh Penguins at Red Wings

I guess you're right. It bugs me that it bugs me. I can't but shake my head for the thought that one the all time best players is called Teemu Salami. They're just skating in circles. Regular season, please.
