Is there anyone missing from Hawks' line-up? To me it looks like the team they'll end up starting the season with. NHL.com ain't much of a help. It still has Kopecky, Ryan Johnson and Chris Campoli in their line-up. Patrick Sharp and Viktor Stålberg seem to be missing.

I don't think there are many who want to watch hockey with no hitting. You are not the only one who's scared about this. It's just that these new rules are there for a reason. All these plays that have lead to suspensions were dangerous with a high risk of causing an injury. Just like all players have to hone and update all their skills with developing game and new rules, the grinders have to learn how to check with less risk to injure the opponent. I guess in few years there's a bigger need for more "smart" Helm-like grinders while teams don't want to have any "dumb" and reckless ones anymore. Players like Helm, Draper and Eaves can create energy without injuring anyone.

I'm quite sure that he knows this and just meant that Finger won't be getting any big contracts in the future after his current one has run out.

These new rules are dumb. Bring back old school hockey. The game was better when players were only allowed to pass the puck to players behind them. The money goes to Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

I'm really liking of what Shanahan is doing. It will be interesting to see if players get the message or if there will stil be 5 suspensions a week in January.

There's been no mention of his wrist as far as I know. He's played OK. Nothing spectacular but like a star player getting slowly warmed up for proper games. Two points in two games. Some really great passes in the offensive zone especially to Kronwall.

There's no such thing. You can build anything from them, for example, a bookshelf. And I have one next to my keyboard that I can throw into the wall everytime my favourite hockey team faces a setback.
