He got a big paycheck after he left Wings but after two mediocre seasons he might come fairly cheap.

I just remembered Babcock's quote after the playoff game in 2009 in which Commodore went over the boards and Wings scored right after that. Babcock said something indirect like "you don't win games by running around like headless chicken." He didn't mention Commodore, but it was clear who he meant. Anyway, I'm starting to like this signing. I agree. He's a veteran backup, 9-10th defenseman who's a safe callup, but nothing more.

I'm usually cool as hell, but this signing made even my eyebrows rise for two seconds. When I think about Commodore I think about this: First he misses a check and flies into the bench. Then he loses his composure and goes after Franzén while he could've done something to prevent Wings' goal.

Can't Babcock be pissed off without blaming Holland? I'm reading this that Babcock is angry because of all teams it had to be Sharks who got Burns.
