Hm? He was perhaps the best rookie goalie in the league and Flyers' number one goalie during the regular season. I would say he's better than McCollum and Larsson.

The Globe and Mail: The sad, painful truth about the Vancouver rioters’ true identities

I felt bad for him. I don't care if someone dislikes the way he does his job, but booing him like that... Gets too personal. Like someone said on the other thread: the Cup presentation isn't about Bettman, it's about the Cup and the winning team.

Obvious Mindfly is obvious.

Oh, this reminds me that I've actually seen a small riot before and had to breathe some tear gas. I was a bystander, but wind blew the gas around. There's already a Wikipedia page for this riot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Vancouver_Riot

I think I spotted Lapierre too.

Rask's favourite was Bob Essensa! Edit: Oh, I didn't know that Essensa is a member of their staff. Must be cool to Rask.

They're feeding the fire with trash. Wait, is that Torres?
-
Damn... Never watched a riot before as it happened.

And that there's families with kids leaving the game nearby.

That's how I remember it, but I might be wrong. I also might remember when Pens had been celebrating for several minutes and fans finally started leaving.

I feel bad for Sami Salo. His career was almost over year ago, but he came back. I dunno, I just like him.

You must've read it wrong. "Quoted For Truth."

I wouldn't miss Stanley Cup celebrations live no matter which team won. But yeah, you're right that Wings fans have seen the Cup before. I'm just positively surprised that even though Canucks were the favourites whole year their fans aren't acting like ******* now when they lost.
-
It's great what Canuck fans are doing, sticking around, cheering their team, cheering Thomas, chanting: "Go Nuck Go" and "Stanley Cup, Stanley Cup". I remember in 2009 when Joe Louis was mostly empty while Pens celebrated.

I agree. He's much like Hudler - not very useful as a bottom six forward, but good in a same line with top forwards. Wings didn't have space for him, Flyers did. Sources, sources.

For some reason the good players whom Rangers have signed to huge contracts have not produced lately. So, has Drury really gotten that much worse or was it all Rangers' fault? On the other hand Drury never scored over 70 points in his career, but still got that contract. What did they expect? Drury is 34 years old, so he could still have some good years in him.

Could be, but not as stacked on HOF members. Sakic, Roy, Bourgue, maybe Forsberg and Blake. That's it.

Before these playoffs both of these teams were OK for me. Nothing special for either. Now I've really started liking Bruins (even though I rooted for Tampa in the ECF) and being annoyed by Canucks. If Vancouver wins the Cup the only one on their team I'm happy for is Salo. It's unbeliavable how much home ice advantage has meant in this series. Earlier in the playoffs there even was talk about how visiting teams were winning more than home teams. Now the three games in Boston and three games in Vancouver have been like night and day for both teams especially Canucks.

Look at those centers. Now who don't belong?

Yeah, Maltby sure was one tough customer.
