I agree the long words and dots can look strange. It's actually quite an easy language to pronounce as there's usually only one way to say each letter making it much more phonetic language than English. Back on topic: with Ovechkin and Kovalchuk having off years I think it's quite clear who's the best Russian this season. When all those three are at their best it's quite even (and makes a killer top line for Russian national team).

Finns also have a similar trophy. It's called The Salami Trophy in tribute to the pronounciation skills of North American sports announcers.

Well, they aren't really in a rebuilding mode so a team like that can't be happy about being out of the playoffs for three (?) years in a row.

Good stuff. A nice way to pass time before playoffs start. I'd like to see compilation of Franzén's goals. He scored more than anyone on the team, but his goals seemed to come such a long time ago that the footage must be in black and white.

I agree. Athletes' interviews are usually boring, but they don't have to be entertaining and full of emotion. What matters is what they say to each other in the locker room and not what they say to the public.

My mistake. Sometimes I forget that salary cap is no reason to not have seven top-4 defensemen in the roster.

Ericsson makes mistakes, but that's what young third pairing defensemen do. He still eats up lots of minutes while playing relatively safe defense.
