You still didn't get him.
-
Oh boy, another minus for Lidström.
-
Imagine Wings playing Hawks in the first round and the series going to seven games. Nine straight games against them.
-
-
Some Holmströmian moves and a goal post.

No, no, no, he died. Dead don't come back. Unless he's Jesus. He actually looks like Jesus. Hmm...
-
-
That wasn't the puck. It was Zetterberg's head.
-
I bet he died. Twice.

Exciting hockey.

The Dreger Report (Wednesday, April 06, 2011 2:54 PM):
-
I don't think Holland will make a move. Unless he knows something about Osgood's condition that we don't. I think Holland is loyal to Osgood and give him enough time to see if he can play next season. If Osgood retires there should be enough free agent backup goalies available. Edit: Oh, Leighton cleared the waivers already.

Rules have been bent before when getting Russian hockey players to Detroit.

Thank you, thank you. You're a great crowd. Good point. Lidström's played most of his career behind top forward units, but this season Babcock has been saving him for the playoffs. Kronwall, Stuart and some nights even Ericsson has had more ice time than the captain. I think his lowly +/- is the result of many things combined. I haven't paid that close attention to make a perfect analysis. There just seems to have been quite a few of these strange situations where opposing forward have skated with the puck around Lidström and right in front of Wings goal.
-
Lidström still has been great offensively, especially on PP when what matters most is his ability to read the play and his accurate passes and shots. It's not so much about moving fast. I think his low +/- is the result of his legs not being what they used to be. When opposing team scores during even strength goals he often seems to be near, but just a wee bit late. Perhaps it's also that he doesn't have the speed anymore to participate on offensive rushes like he used to. In 82 games 10 more goals by opposing team and 10 less goals by your team makes your +/- zero instead of +20. Just my Patrick Kane...

Update on Nabokov's situation with Islanders: Dreger Report (Monday, April 04, 2011 12:08 PM) On a more serious note I still believe that had not NYI put a waiver claim on Nabokov he would've ended up in Red Wings. I blamde Islanders.

At this time of the season with playoff berth clinched I'd rather suit healthy Miller than sore-croined Modano. Modano needs to be fully recovered when post season starts.
-
Ooh, that's a good one. Ha ha.
-
Well, you know, he's still just a kid.

Edit: DP

Are you saying that if Wings played full 60 minuted every game opposing teams would never score?
