He seems OK. Eliteprospects.com says that he's also "defensively responsible and doesn't mind heavy traffic." What I like him best is that he's so small that he would drive people nuts here.

I think you have a point. I'm not interested in watching that hit ten times and have an opinion about it, so I won't go into that. I just think that with all this talk about head shots many people are bound to start overreacting whenever there's a hard hit and a player gets hurt.
-
But, but, but... Hockey players must be big.
-
An interesting video. If they would've cut the crap though and get to the point right away the piece could've lasted one minute. It was a bit like watching C.S.I.
-
Well... Sometimes goalies get tired if they play every game. I'd rather put in Osgood against Oilers, than tired Howard against a tougher team.
-
Perhaps he means that Wings should've won or at least kept those games tight even with many players injured. A pumped up Griffins wouldn't lose 6-0 to Islanders.

KHL backup goalie gets hit in head with stick by opposition fan
P. Marlowe replied to CenterIce's topic in General
I think there are more guns and violence in the U.S. It seems that everytime when KHL is discussed here the influence of cold war propaganda and the attitude of that time lifts its head. After so many years its still stuck in people's minds. -

Maybe we could have a GDT for tonight too as there are some important games regarding Red Wings. If Predators lose tonight to Kings then Wings can leapfrog them into the 7th seed by winning Flames tomorrow. Flames losing to Canucks would be helpful too. Luckily both these teams are playing teams that are higher in the standings. NSH vs. LAK 1 - 1 (1st period) GOAL SCORERS NSH: Sullivan, S. (04:42 in 1st) LAK: Kopitar, A. (PPG, 08:56 in 1st) (NHL.com boxscore) CGY vs. VAN 10:00 PM (NHL.com preview)

Sure, definitely. Just like tonight Nashville had more to play for than Los Angeles. I was just pointing out that I think the talk was that Nashville has easier schedule than Calgary and that's why Predators will probably end up higher in the standings than Flames.

Teams that Should Have Never Changed their Jerseys
P. Marlowe replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
I agree with you on Kings, Canucks and Penguins. I like Coyotes and Hurricanes jerseys though. I think Coyotes' "dirty" red home jerseys look very good. I think Mighty Ducks was a team I could never be a fan of just because of their logo, jerseys and especially their name. I think they could only go up from there. -
I think the talk was that CGY's schedule is tough. They are still facing Sharks twice, Caps, Phoenix, Hawks and Canucks.
-
Predators win 3-2. Awesome... GWG by Patric Hornqvist on a questionable play where Jonathan Quick was interfered a bit. Shots were 31-20 so I guess Nashville deserved it.
-
LAK took the lead for 40 seconds in the third period, but NSH tied the game. 05:56 LAK Dustin Brown (17) Snap Shot - Assists: D. Doughty (39) 06:35 NSH Colin Wilson (6) Wrist Shot - Assists: M. Erat (24) & J. Arnott (24) So, it's 2-2 with 10 minutes left.
-
NSH vs. LAK is still 1-1 after two periods. Shots are 22-15 for Predators.

This has already been discussed here: http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63623

My prediction is that if the Wings are 8th seed or higher at the end of regular season they will make the playoffs. Trust me.
-
I know. I'd love to have Franzén healthy next season, so we can see what he can do.
-
He seems to be a bit streaky. Last regular season there were times when he didn't seem to be too interested. If he could keep his playoff mode on during the whole season then he probably could hit 50.

No matter how much our team is struggling we can still laugh at Hawks' troubles. Sounds familiar, eh?
