Really? Aren't you overreacting? I think what you just wrote is self-evident, but I don't think that's what this thread was about (or at least how it started). If Grier signs with Red Wings it might mean something to black kids in Detroit.

Why not get both Kessel and Heatley? Just trade Fil, Hudler's rights and Meech. Easy.
-
Poor Flyers, just couldn't get their goalies to save those clear view shots from the blue line. In the last video (at 8:57) Larry Murphy puts the fans in Toronto in their place.
-
The first video begins nice: The Grind Line against The Legion of Doom.

That's about it. Once again I'll link an example. Filppula scores in U-20 World Championships. His name is said first time at 0:24. He intercepts a pass from Alexander Semin. There's also Sean Bergenheim and Petteri Nokelainen.

Something like that, but you can't really write it because the languages are so different. You have to hear it. This is a Finnish video of Selänne's possibility to win his first Cup in '07. His name is said at 0:20. Now that we're posting videos of '06 Olympic Finals, then why not Selänne's goal too (with Finnish announcers):
-
About 150 million people can. Most of them don't live in North America though, so I think it's a good idea to keep the names the way they are. It would be polite though if at least the announcers learned how to pronounce foreign names. Selänne has played in NA for 17 years, but still his name is pronounced wrong and this has led some people to jokingly call him "Salami".

Well, Bäckström scored more points than any Swede last season. That's not new one either.
-
That's so funny. Do you come up with new jokes every day?

He was great against Chicago in the playoffs when they played without Lidström, Ericsson and Lilja. Lebda got more ES minutes than any other that game. He's perfect for a 6-7th defenseman. Still many people in this silly place wants to trade him. You don't have to trade good players just because your buttocks are itching. I'm glad Holland isn't crazy like that.

Let's see how long it takes for Jake Ryan to crawl from under a rock.

A Hasek-Joseph-Legace type sitaution brewing in Long Island?
P. Marlowe replied to mmorland's topic in General
You're dumb-dumb-dumb. You're dumb too. He's played great for a bad team. Are you saying that when Islanders drafted him they were supposed to know that he'll be injured ten years later? -

With all the talk about DiPietro's injuries he still played over 60 games each of the three seasons before last season. -
People are talking about how often Dipietro is injured. I just noticed that in the last five seasons he's played 50, 63, 62, 63 and 5 games. This means that he's been healthy for four seasons before the problems last season... 2007-08 was the first season for him as a number one when he had more losses than wins.

Why I May Have It Worse Than Anyone Here
P. Marlowe replied to WingsFanInPensCountry's topic in General
From your first paragraph I thought that you were 16 years old. At least as a teacher you still have the upper hand. -
Maybe they can dress the third goalie out as a defenseman with normal equipment and tell him to stay in front of the goalie and block shots. That way they might win some games 1-0 or 2-1.
-
It's not the case of who's worth what with teams like that. Atlanta had some spare money and badly wanted to keep him.
-
In Tampa Bay and Long Island he might get top 4 time.
-
When Biron found out that Flyers signed Emery he said to himself: "I'll even sign with Islanders for 1.4 milions rather than resign with Flyers."
-
Unbeliavable. Biron has posted fine numbers with Flyers for two seasons. I don't understand how some team didn't pay him 3-5 millions. At least Los Angeles and Tampa Bay could've made him their number one.
