Nice work finding all this info. I remember the 1985 pick Erik Hämäläinen. He used to play in Jokerit (Filppula's and Leino's team) when I was a big fan of them in the 90's. He was in the world championship team of Finland the only time they won the gold (1995).

E is a little out-of-date. He thinks that Antropov is still in Toronto. This is interesting: Shanahan to Canadiens? (e5) According to my sources within the New Jersey Devils organization, the Montreal Canadiens are willing to part with D Mathieu Schneider to obtain the services of LW Brendan Shanahan. Remember, you heard it here first!

I don't think Leino disappeared. He's not an energy providing grinder like Helm and Abdelkader. He's an offensive player who played in his first NHL playoffs and got ice time only on 4th line. Still he provided some offense. During regular season he saw more ice time in Datsyuk's line and it paid off. I hope he'll get the contract so we'll see if he gets better.

I can't believe their effort. When a hockey player gets to Stanley Cup finals he should play every shift like Helm does: 110%. Pens were hungrier, but how on earth didn't the Wings want the Cup even a little bit?
