    What about Lebda?

He was very good in the last year's playoffs too. Much like the rest of the team his regular season wasn't as good.
  2. So which is tougher, getting Kronwalled or getting Gonchard? On the PUCK FITTSBURGH picture, whose the player that's getting crosschecked? Hossa had number 18, but Hasek and Meech didn't play in the finals, so this must be from the pre-season.

    What about Lebda?

I think he's excellent for his role and salary. If Lilja and Lidstrom were healthy Lebda wouldn't propably play at all, but just like that he can play top 4 minutes.

    Fedorov to join KHL

There are couple of facts/observations that I want to bring up for some people writing on this and the Viktor Kozlov thread. - Russia is not a communist country. Fedorov escaped Soviet Union which was a communist country and that country hasn't existed since 1991. - There are quite a many people in Russia too and my guess is that there are more hockey fans there than in U.S.A. He's making fans sad here, but think about Russian hockey fans who can finally see their hero in their country. Fedorov is one of the biggest Russian hockey superstars ever. Fedorov's been here 15 years and spent his best years here. Now it's their turn. - The skill level in KHL isn't as high as it is in NHL, so Fedorov can have a bigger role in his team there than what he could've had in NHL. - Putin is undoubtedly a very mean man, but so is Bush. That doesn't mean that the man is everywhere and that the whole country is rotten.

Big E's play as of late

Darn. Lilja gets injured and then Ericsson comes from the AHL and starts to play like a three-year veteran. Wings would be in trouble without him.

    HE TOUCHED IT!

About superstition... I was growing a playoff beard, but then Detroit lost against Anaheim. I decided I had to shave it. Then they lost again. Ever since I've shaved only half of my beard vertically they've played fine.

    Franzen takes Kane's mouthguard

I noticed that too, but I think he was facing the other way. I think he was just laughing about Eager with someone next to him and the hand gesture meant that Eager got kicked out of the game because of his yapping.

    Fedorov to join KHL

We'll always have the memories. To those talking about Fedorov's numbers: his game was about so much more. He was a two-way forward - he had to be to get playing time in Red Wings. He even played in D position for big parts of seasons. He also shared the number one centerman duties with Yzerman and that cut his ice time a bit. I guess his numbers show that he wasn't always effective... Still, when he was hot he was magic. He was kind of like the Datsyuk and Zetterberg of 90's.

(Viktor) Kozlov going to the KHL, too

I wouldn't say... He's only 30 and had his best season in years.

Who else sheds a tear when Mule snipes a corner?

The announcers were too hard on Huet on that goal. It was a great shot.

Quenneville must just want to go to home and bed to cry and he has to listen to the long questions of the Russian lady with a thick accent.

I guess Quenneville will be interviewed soon in the press conference. It should be awkward to watch, a grown up man trying not to cry.

    ECF Game #3 GDT

This has been interesting season. The fall and rise and fall of Dallas. The great turnarounds by Pittsburgh and Anaheim in the spring. Phoenix was in playoffs for most of the season. Columbus making the playoffs for the first time. The playoff disappointments of San Jose and Boston. The mess of Montreal. Red Wings fighting with Cup hangover all season long.
