    An Interesting Stat

Hard to believe that this includes Tampa Bay and Carolina. It's not difficult to win the Southeast, but they've also had to be better than at least one other division winner.

That too. I'm glad Datsyuk stays away from that trend.

    Vezina Poll on NHL.com

It helps Conklin that Brodeur and Luongo are injured and Lundqvist is on a slump. There is also another poll where Conklin is included: "What has been the best story of the season's first half?"

    Steve Mason with another shutout

Columbus won Washington 3-0. Steve Mason stopped 45 shots, including 12 by Ovechkin. Mason leads the league now with 6 shutouts. If nothing else, Blue Jackets have good goaltending. Last year Pascal LeClaire had 9 shutouts.

Hockey fans are reasonable when their team wins.

Datsyuk is now fourth in NHL in points. One behind Ovechkin and two behind Crosby. If this keeps up he'll score 98 points in 82 games.

Amen. The only time when people here get more of a connection with Wings is when Holland comes here for trading advices.

Red Wings were quite uninterested most of the time, but Dallas was also very good. When Red Wings lose it doesn't necessarily mean that they suck, there's always the other team in the game too.

I understand how you feel. Your parents don't understand you. Your friends in school think you're weird. You cry yourself to sleep at 5 am when you get to bed after the game. It's alright, it's alright.

Many people here should get a Livejournal. Maybe that would reduce the amount of crying.

That near goal play developed because a Wing forward lost his stick and it was momentarily 5-on-3. It was no-one's fault.
