Maybe he should've attacked the Wings' bench or Osgood instead of a referee.

Someone here wrote after the Avs' second goal that Lebda is the worst player in the league. I don't think he was on the ice during either of the goals.

I don't think the Wings played really bad. Couple of mistakes and a hot goalie can change a game. After all, Wings controlled most of the last two periods. I think all year it's been about couple of fatal details that's ruined or almost ruined games for the Wings. It seems that you need to be fully concentrated all the time in this league, otherwise the puck is in your net.

It would be interesting to watch some regular season games from last year and see what's so different.

What about this: Regulation win - 3 points Regulation loss - 0 points OT win - 2 points OT loss - 1 point Shootout win - 1 points Shootout loss - 0 point This would make regulation wins more valued, but also would make overtime wins more valued that shootout wins. Teams would play harder in overtime. I also like the idea of 10-minute overtime as now it seems to be over so quickly. Maybe TV and their schedules would have something to say here...

I didn't remember when the rule arrived. But that wasn't the point of my post anyway. It's funny how with the new rule the best teams of the league still have about the same amount of points as before. At least it looks like that to me. It seems that the league is more even than before.

Before the lockout a team point average for regular season was of course 82. After the lockout it's been around 91.

What does it matter how popular hockey is in the U.S.? I'm glad that hockey isn't marketed towards idiots like other American sports. Trash talking brings in people who aren't interested in the sport itself. Sure they might later get interested in hockey after they've been brought in, but is it worth it? NFL advertisements look like hip hop videos or college movies. Hockey is a physical and sometimes violent sport, but I like how players usually have manners outside the rink. It actually makes an interesting contradiction. BTW, imagine Avery and Emery in a same team.

Kopecky is alright. Maybe next spring in the playoffs he'll do the same thing that Holmstrom did in '98 playoffs.

Some time ago at an NHLPA conference Robidas said he's sad that good defensive plays never make the highlight reels and so he's rarely in them. Shortly after that Ropidas visited loo and everyone else at the conference agreed a way to get him in the highlights.
