But he's the humble captain...

You should see his toilet paper.

Some people make money with hockie.

It means another player coming to Anaheim, so they couldn't just drop the team overall salary by 5.75 million, but they also would need to add someone's salary there. This time of year many teams have someone who they would like to dump somewhere. Burke said the team has turned down a minimum of five trades for Schneider in the last week, with all of them involving additional players. He said the Ducks would reassess those options. "Now we know that moving the entire salary is not realistic, so how much money and what player do we have to take back for a deal to line up?" Burke said.

Training camp questions: Western Conference
P. Marlowe replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in General
At least in 2007 Anaheim's Pronger and Niedermayer shared the Norris for humans price. -
Nice to see a new photo of Larsson.

You're a joke. Haha.

Maybe you should trust Babcock more than a Yahoo journalist.

The lists said "The following are five Western Conference players who excel in the faceoff circle." and "The following is a list of five of the best draw men in the Eastern Conference." They weren't Top 5 lists, they just introduced ten players who are good at faceoffs.

Hossa: "Remember when we were here during the finals and Marc-Andre fell down when he came to the ice?" Conklin: "Yeah. We sure got our butts kicked then."

What EA Sports does with their NHL game series has rarely anything to do with hockey. At least with PC.

One of the best things about the 08-09 season...

Usually only the teams that are going to miss the playoffs are the ones trading their stars away on the deadline. These kind of teams are rebuilding and are glad to get draft picks and prospects. Red Wings is not in a rebuilding mode right now. -
Let's post our own pictures.

Chelios won't retire until his sons are playing for the Wings.

Sure that's Hartigan. That's the way he looked with a beard. Didn't you see the cup celebration? Right. After that game he lost his roster spot to Helm and LGW forum was happy.

Thank you. Hextall really was a character, but I'm also glad that there isn't anybody like him in the NHL anymore. I don't like seeing people get hurt and end their careers because someone is crazy. I too think that he was entertaining and the aspect of danger brings another dimension to the game, but violence still isn't really my thing. One more thing conserning my earlier post. It was funny to realise that Jamie McLennan slashing Franzén in 2007 was the last thing he ever did in NHL.
-
Is that why you loved him? In the first clip he acts like McLennan and Ribeiro.

You can reply to this poll and argue what in your opinion makes a news "big". Is it the size of the headline, the effect it has on the team or something else?

Biggest Red Wings news of the offseason this far

Dang, I forgot that. Hopefully he'll now have a career season. -

This isn't really surprising. It'll be interesting to see if the other ones get any votes. -
Oh, I didn't know that. I only assumed that he's over 25 because there has been talk about Ericsson being the only D who's waiver exempt.
-
Are you saying that Wings should have 12 forwards and 9 defencemen in their roster? I will be a bit sad after whoever gets traded. I think Chelios retiring would make me least sad because he's already had a wonderful career. He'd go out at as close to the top as he propably ever again will be. Wings might win more cups, but he's playing time will most likely only decrease. If this happens Wings could have 13 forwards and 8 defencemen.
-
Yes he does. It's because he's too old. I think it starts when player is over 25. Ericsson is the only Wings defenceman who doesn't have to go through waivers to play in GR.
-
Thank you. That's a very nice interview.

I'd like to see Zetterberg get the same salary than Datsyuk. Sure that is about 2-3 million less than what he would get from somewhere else. Overall salaries have gotten higher since Datsyuk got his extension. I just think that Datsyuk and Zetterberg are equally valuable to Red Wings.
