He has two fights a year. It's not really that big a part of his game. No one goes, "Oh, s***, here comes Fisher to settle the score." I like his defensive abilities and his faceoff skills, although that percentage dropped this year. He is a strong factor when he feels like it (13 goals, 32 points in 78 games two years ago). He wasn't the key factor in their 2007 Cup run. If Fisher's "proved" he can score 25 goals (he's done it once and has 22-23 three times in 11 years in the league), then Cheechoo has "proved" he can score 56. At this rate, just imagine what the price tag would be for Spezza. Three firsts?

I wouldn't deal for anyone but a #6 defenceman, and I wouldn't give up anyone on the roster for this player unless his initials are "Ruslan Salei". The Leafs have the 28th best pk this year, and had the 29th best last year. As primarily a penalty killer, you can see he's clearly irreplacable. Actually, I think Tim Brent's performance last night shows Brown isn't even the best penalty killer among the growing list of "Leafs' fourth liners who used to be Ducks", and he's getting $160,000 less than Brown under the new deal.
