Which is exactly what he gets. http://starsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2...suspension.html There's got to be some history between these two guys. Neal wouldn't just throw that hit without a reason, would he? I thought that was Ott's job.

And now the cops are involved... http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blo...in-anaheim.html

The league should punish them by making them play in front of a half-empty building. Oh, wait, they already do.

Is this already the time of year for the annual "Scotty/Wings hated me" article from a bitter ex-player? I thought that was a February thing. Anyway, Sergei's really not very good at letting water go under the bridge. If you're Sergei, you really hurt your legacy if you don't let bygones be bygones six years after the fact.

Re: Warren “I’ll be frank: he was horse s***,†said Paul Devorski, a 21-year referee who regularly works Stanley Cup Finals. Never heard one referee describe another like that in public. As I said in the GDT, I don't think there's any real point to having a war room in Toronto with the ability to call down about all the games if these exact situations can't get ironed out so the correct call is made. I think I'm done being pissed off about this.

Based on this, Larue must have ruled that the whistle was intended to be blown for no reason just as Brad May was shooting the puck.

Let's go Cougars!

oOw, quick whistle near Auld, hey.

At the bottom of tonight's game summary: Referees: Barnum, Bailey

It's right up there... Normally I'd be the one saying all these s***ty calls even each other out, but this is a completely bogus "intent to blow the whistle" piece of s***. What's the point of having a replay system at all?

Remember this sentiment if you're ever cornered in the woods and a 8-foot tall grizzly is getting ready to make a balogna sandwich out of your lungs.

As long as there's free streams, no one will want to pay. As a business model, though, I'm not sure what the NHL could possibly lose by exposing themselves to a much greater audience.

It's the Ducks and the Leafs, live on TSN!

Damn, Iginla's gotten really fat.

When the coaches are beaking, Bowman is apparently saying to Crow: "I know your father and he wouldn't be very proud right now..." I heart Dino. He's the one guy I wish we could have kept on one of the Cup-winning teams. If we had to do it all again

I'd like Comrade Gary to personally take a $20-$25 million hit per year for a few years and see how his bottom line is doing. The better-run leagues don't have franchises bleeding millions like this.

NEWS ITEM - Canadiens to retire number of Emile Bouchard "as soon as we find out what it was," says Gainey.

Ozzie would have stopped it.

No! Drawn and quartered, please. And I'd like to have the chance to poop on those remains, too.

Yup. He'll light it up this year and then someone desperate for wingers like Pittsburgh will pay $9 mill for three years and he'll get 70 points tops in those three years combined. I don't trust him as far as I can throw him, but he is a good bargain for $800,000. I think they probably signed him with an unwritten wink-wink clause to trade him to a contender if they aren't playoff bound. It's worth noting four of his points this year were in one game when they blew out the Kings. It's also worth noting he has 23 points in 49 playoff games career. It's further worth noting he has the worst +/- in the Thrashers' top 6 forwards.

Angry Babcock is angry with you.

<------ Not ashamed to admit the Jimmy Howard assist helps him in his hockey league.

Not bad for a dude a month ago people on LGW were saying was past his prime.

Hopefully, Wall Street is breathing a sigh of relief and the markets can go back on an upturn. The more Crosby struggles, the more I think we're f**ked in the Olympics as Canadians. I don't want him anywhere on the ice in the dying minutes of a close game.

Any word on if the BJs made the Red Wings bleed tonight, like Dracula Hitchcock wanted?
