Does Game 2 have a start time? It's three days away, FFS.

I thought Mario was a battler throughout his cancer ordeal. I admired his comeback years later. And I thought their cup wins were well-deserved through great skill and determination by their players and shrewd trading by Craig Patrick. EDIT: They also indirectly gave us Scotty and even more indirectly, provided Larry Murphy's invaluable championship experience.

The phantom interference major killed his chances.

Game 1 is going up directly against the Cavs-Magic Game 6.

As far as I know, the NHL doesn't get any money up front for the NHL, rather they get a percentage of the advertising revenue AFTER NBC deducts production costs. CBC, meanwhile, pays the NHL over $65 million up front per year for broadcast rights.

That's quite a bit different than making fun of somebody whose life was irrevocably damaged through no fault of his own due to a drunk driver.

Six Campbell trophies in 15 years. And some people don't even think this is a dynasty.

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothin' but blue skies Look straight ahead, nothin' but blue skies

Mike Emrick: "And I for one, salute our new Penguin overlords. I'd like to remind them as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves."

Yeah, I read that and visibly winced to the point where someone asked if I was OK. I don't think we lose a cup from 93-98 with Bure on the team with Fedorov. For all you kids out there, Bure in his prime was like Ovechkin without the multiple wicked goal celebrations. There was private life drama between the two of them, but maybe having them together might have solved that. Even a hurt Bure scored a goal a game for the friggin Panthers. Three picks away. Jesus.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AsZC...o&type=lgns He actually expecting a Wings victory in the finals if the two teams meet, but somehow says familiarity is a bad thing for the NHL.

Starting on Saturday doesn't bother me nearly as much as two games in two nights at the start of a series, which bothers me because they haven't done it all playoffs. It's also like announcing halfway through a marathon that only the last four miles are going to count. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs/2009/news?id=4203658 I agree that starting it on the 6th is really stupid. What would be wrong with a compromise of starting it on Sunday, and not having two games on consecutive nights at the start of (literally) the most important games of the season? Game 1: Sunday May 31: Detroit Game 2: Tuesday June 2: Detroit Game 3: Thursday, June 4: Pittsburgh Game 4: Saturday, June 6: Pittsburgh Game 5: Tuesday, June 9: Detroit Game 6: Thursday, June 11: Pittsburgh Game 7: Saturday, June 13: Detroit Oh yeah, they have to placate NBC, who doesn't pay a dime to the NHL to broadcast hockey.
