Pens fan here as well. First off, I must tell you how much respect I have for the Wings. They have had one hell of a year and really ran away with the West. It's kind of hard to compare the two teams because of the different style the two conferences play. I can make a lot of comparisions between the two teams but instead I think the differences are whats important. Detroit seems to fair better against slower more physical teams from my observation(which may or may not be right). I think thats why Nashville gave you a bit of trouble in the first round. The Wings get the edge defensively, although the Pens play an all around better team defensive game. I feel the biggest difference heading into the series is goaltending. Osgood has been playing well, almost too well lately. I wouldn't be surprised if he's your Achilles heal when all is said and done. You can say that Fleury is lacking experience in the big dance, but he's been consistent all playoffs giving up more than 2 goals only twice. He was also on one hell of a streak coming into the 2nd season.
Honestly, the team that gets the bounces and (as much as I hate to say it) the penalty calls will win this. Buckle up folks it's going to be a wild ride. Good luck guys but GO PENS!
P.S. I loved the photoshops.... I hope you guys have a better sense of humor then the cryers, Rangers, and the Sens.
