the point is, the second it went out of his sight he INTENDED to whistle. Hiller was still moving around trying to find it. It was apparent he wasn't holding it because of the way he was flailing. I dunno about you but If iw as a goalie, and I had the puck in posession, i'd pull it close and sit still.....not kick my arms and legs all over wildly and accidentally push the puck in if u knew where it was.

Thats it. Black and white..cut and dry...COMMON SENSE. The NHL has these rules in place....I HONESTLY believe now that those rules are made up for situations like this...it causes a stir.

Well damn, I wish that rule applied to laws in the real world. Officer, It's not stealing, I INTENDED to pay for it later...therefore you cannot arrest me. You forgot helm. Dude's been amazing. In fact i'd rather him on the 3rd line for that speed...hell i wouldn't mind seeing him on a line with mule and zatta just to see if there is chemistry there. You got mule who drives the net, zetterberg who can snipe and playmake and then helm who can lead the rush and go hard to the corners...plus he can hit well....i'd like to see this line sometime...not in this series though barring injuries.

So, I saw this on a ducks board and I'm wondering is this a rivalry/my team is right, yours is the spawn of satan, or if any wings fan can clarify why that wasn't a dirty hit? Any way you look at it to me, he straightened his arms right into hud's face...and it could have been avoided. From the CBC telecast, I don't see any evidence of that. If there is no intent, no injury, no elbowing, no late hit (one second is not late), no illegal hit, then there is no justification for the suspension. As for Franzen, it wasn't Hiller's padding that Franzen made contact with, it was his head which was evidenced by Hiller's helmet being knocked of. And it looked to me like Franzen could have avoided contact with Hiller, but he made no attempt to avoid him. I second that. Lets see it. Makes me pumped. I got tix for games 1 and 2 friday and sunday. I'm psyched. Its been years since i've been to a home playoff game. I got the pleasure of being in columbus for game 4 though...that was pretty damn fun too. The CBJ fans were top notch.

Helm can score. We saw it last year. 4th line isn't really the scoring role though. He'd need at least 3rd line minutes to get into a grove and find a scoring touch. Or, remove maltby, bring up leino, and you have kopecky, helm, leino....looks like a dangerous 4th line to me. One thing about helm ....while not huge he knows how to use his weight and momentum to create the hit. Guys like franzen, while big and a little fast only rely on their size because its what they know. Franzen hits, but helm hits better.
