Let em keep it up because on thursday we're going to paint the blue jackets red and al the octopus is going to slap rick nash in the face. I was worried before the series started but it IS APPARENT that the wings, ESPECIALLY osgood do have a playoff switch and that ***** is ON. I saw something after game 2 in the oakland press where babs said, usually you take the first 60 reg season games easy and then crank it up in the last 20 to prepare for the playoffs, but this year we didn't need to...we took er easy right through that 82nd game and then we'll turn on the jets. Not word for word but somewhere along those lines.

This joker doesn't deserve to play in the NHL. Every time the dude is in a game you see something about him being a dirty, lowlife cheap player. There's no room in the game for his ridiculous antics (although, i do admit the waving stick in brodeur's face, while totally wrong had me laughing my ass off). I think the league should just issue a permanent ban on the guy as he's shown time and time again that he just isn't going to change.

LoL, while pavel is funny, I kinda wish he was more funny like OVY in a snobby stuck up way....its not bad because ovy is joking but it's hilarious. I've actually met ovechkin while wearing my datsyuk jersey and I asked him for an autograph. He goes sure, turn around and I gave him the ticket I had to the wings/caps game , he used my back to sign and he jokingly says "There, i fixed your jersey for you" and he had stuck a piece of paper over datsyuk's name that said "DatsVechkin" LoL and then handed me the signed ticket stub. Truly truly a nice, funny guy.

I too have watched it a few times and all i see is Kopecky kind of jumps half second too soon but his feet do NOT move from the line at all until after the puck dropped

Man, watching the pens/flyers game...I really hope the wings can flip the proverbial switch because watching this game, I have YET to see anywhere near this type of intensity out of the wings this season and columbus has something to prove. I just fear the wings coasted for too long in the season and may be overwhelmed. We can only hope they were playing one over on all of us

yeah you're right...i should have worded it better....and said Consistent intensity. Maybe its just that the games that didn't really matter is where the wings went flat because i do remember big games were very intense. Maybe i'm just getting ahead of things and should see how they come out playin tomorrow

Well my guess is that if you live closer to one city.....it'll have a priority for that game, and when that game ends it goes to the other game....not positive though

the arcade mode is actually a different game entirely. It was made by the same people on the same game engine and yeah it's pretty fun but it was something they made you pay extra for which was kinda bs because there is pretty much NOTHING to it but yeah you're right...it is fun for what it is

they do so bad because the player ratings are all messed up...i dont see how pit is almost the same overall as the wings...and only like 2 points lower in defense and I think even in offense...uhmm hello? pit is a 2 man offensive show compared to what the wings have

Yeah well theres major differences between NHL09 and real hockey. For instance, in real life you can't shoot the puck through the back of the net. When the puck is on your stick in real life, you cant push it THROUGH the goalie and into the net. The players in real life have REAL intelligence and the players in NHL09 lack even A.I. because they were programmed so poorly. Seriously, skate 1 on 2 into the other teams zone and neither of those defenders will pressure you. They both skate straight back and stop about 3 feet in front of the goalie for an easy screen goal. The game is fun but has SO MANY unrealistic problems with the core and engine that I wouldn't trust it if it told me the wings won the cup last year...i'd call it a liar! lol. Seriously though, another VERY flawed thing about that game is the player ratings. Guys like ovechkin and Crosby are like 94 overall and while they have just as much offensive game as guys like datsyuk (if not slightly more) their defensive game is HORRIBLE yet datsyuk os only rated like a 91 and zetterberg 89. Same with hossa, better in his own end than body crosby and ovechkin combined yet he's rated like 89. I love EA's NHL series but they have totally f***ed up this years version with glitch goals, juiced players, horrible player attributes...etc etc etc....maybe next year they'll work on the fundamentals instead of adding half assed new modes to attract more customers/more money. They need to fix whats there and been broken for 3,4,5 years now instead. Anyways OP i'm not goin off on you at all i appreciate the info, i'm just saying I wouldn't trust the predictions this game made if my life depended on it
