the point is that why call up leino if he will not actually be guaranteed to play? Leave him in GR to help his team out and gain at least some kind of playoff experience. Later if something happens where we need another forward, he'll get the call

Yea i live in waterford, about 25 miles north of detroit and when you live that close you pretty much still consider yourself from detroit because you live in the suburbs OF DETROIT. Not to mention, basically everything about detroit spreads to the surrounding cities, towns and communities anyway so yeah, you're pretty much from detroit

Thats a toughie for me too. On one hand, you have the ducks who don't scare me. Sure they're physical but I think that the wings could benifit from playing a physical team. So many times this year they have looked bored while in games...like they were just going through the motions. I feel if we played an intense team like ANA, it would help the wings ramp up their intensity better and start firing on all cylinders. Now, columbus...they've embarassed us this year and we had a hard time beating mason when playing the jackets. Not to mention, Rick nash is a beast. So, based on what i just said, I'd pick ANA for 1st round because it'd keep the boys hyped and if they made it through w/o injuries...I'd say they would be Proverbial Kryptonite for any team we'd face in round 2.

Well here's how I see it....we keep hoss and at LEAST sammy and fil/huds has to go. I can see us somehow squeezing huds in there somewhere while sending fil away because he's overpaid for the amount of production he's giving us. Not saying he's not a great player but he's just overshadowed by quite a few guys on this team and IN grand rapids that make less money...helm/leino both come to mind. It's pretty much a lock that cheli won't be a part of this team next year (on the ice anyway) but may coach, or mentor in grand rapids. I'm pretty confident that what I just said is realistic but its just my opinion. That leaves us with yet another messed up goalie situation. Ozzy has looked better of late and conklin'Ls play has dropped significantly. Whether thats because he's sat alot lately or his head is in the clouds, IDK but....if ozzie performs well in the stretch, He'll remain the starter and I could see us trading away howard for another cheap, rental goaltender...just my 2 pennies Oh yeah, also i can see lebda being gone and with him and cheli out of the picture, big E comes in full time. I have a feeling that either one, or both of draper/maltby will be finished after this year which will help a LITTLE toward cap but not much. It's gonna be a tight fit but i think we can do it. The only thing that worries me bout bein so close to the cap is injuries...we need that extra cap space to make a call up if needed
