wow, good question....I have no idea. and after reviewing that quincey slash again....i agree now it was a legit slash. I thought at first that it was weak like the rest of the penalties this game for both sides.

can someone please tell me what the refs are smoking? Not one call this game has there actually been a penalty comitted. First, the kings hook, then the wings hook right after...neither was actually a hook...then the zetterberg trip where the dude tripped over the net. THEN just after, the kings take the puck offsides and the ref standing RIGHT THERE....waits almost 6 or 7 seconds to blow the whistle after it was brought back into the wings zone. These refs are TERRIBLE...and not just with calls on the wings either...they're missing the real calls on both sides...and they call bs hooks and trips. I'm losing so so so much faith in the NHL this season its not even funny. We have the refs basically helping the losing teams play catch up in the 3rd, we have hooking calls when nobody was touched...but in the game vs the coyotes, shane doan wrapped his arms around homers waist and threw him to the ice LITERALLY 2 feet in front of the ref....and the announcers said "the ref made a good choice not to call that" but the wings were on a pk and homer was held in his own zone....and the yotes score. The problem is, the interpretation of the rules change sooo much from game to game, ref to ref that the players don't know wtf they can and can't do anymore. Bettman is ruining hockey and turning it into figure skating with sticks. edit: franzen just got away with a huge hold....but now quincey gets a slash which, in my opinion was a slash, but a weak one. I don't care if the wings are called for penalties, as long as they actually commit them...but at the same time, i dont want us getting powerplays we didn't earn either.

further, i've only seen about 3 players on our team playing with any consistency. Hossa, Franzen, and Hudler...i know franzen went on a little cold streak but i at least notice him in the games. Dats and Z even if they don't score , i usually notice them in the game standing out....almost nobody has had standout game to me other than the 3 I mentioned

It looks to me that the fire in almost everybody isn't there. We're coasting in on the backcheck...playing weak on the forecheck, not battling enough in the corners to pick up loose pucks, and our breakout? Pshhh, lidstrom even looks to be making sloppy breakout passes...which lead to bad turnovers in the neutral zone. I cant tell u how many times i've been screaming at my tv cuz the other team is deep in our zone and instead of covering the guy in the slot, someone will just be standing back waiting for the puck to magically come to them. Yes ozzie has looked bad but then again, he's not really being given much of a chance now is he?

Oh no, i'm not complaining...i was just giving examples as to why the OP might be thinking the way he is, and saying that I can see where he is coming from. I don't agree , nor disagree because i personally think the officiating is horrible in almost all NHL games.

Well it seems to me that either the team thats favored to win, or the team that is in the lead in the 3rd...spends more time in the box for stupid things...and the other team gets away with murder. Take the Dallas game...holmstrom went to go behind the net to get a puck, we had Z up front wide open....TURCO moves in front of homer and grabs him...the ref sees this and waves at turco to let him go...now, had homer slightly bumped turco...Interference...no ifs ands or buts. But turco stepped out of the crease, to IMPEDE homers progress...and GRABBED him....NO CALL? The pheonix game: I dont know which players were involved but a coyote wrapped his arms around a wing's waist, and threw him down on the ground...again the linesmen right there broke it up and the anouncers (coyotes broadcast) said yeah "the refs did a good job of letting that one go" except...it led to a 4 on 2 rush for pheonix because whoever got tackled was down, and we were already on a PK. So that BLOWN CALL almost directly affected the game's outcome. Hossa drives the net...is slightly hooked from behind, falls after bryzgalov makes a great save and slides into him because he was hooked...yet HE got goalie interference....so, i can see where the OP is thinking something is up

WE MIGHT not have deserved it...but we also DID deserve AT LEAST 3-4 more PP....2 of them in the last 5 min of the game

IM not sure who did it, but a coyote had his hands around a wing's legs, lifted him up and slammed him down....no call...then he's down behind the play and can't get back...and the yotes score...f*** the NHL and f*** bettman...i'm so sick of watching the wings get shafted on the calls

well u missed a nice breakaway goal by doan...followed by a sh breakaway goal by franzen....then lids? i think shot from the point and homer tipped it in...also, hank scored 33 seconds in to give us an early lead
