No, i wasn't really trying to bash man, i was simply stating that maybe therrien was playing mindgames with the whining, while really behind the scenes he was telling something completely different to his team, like....what needed to be better etc. I do think that while the wings did take some bad penalties, that the refs focused so much on watching the obstruction of the wings...that, they were unable to catch the stuff the pens got away with. I don't blame therrien or the pens for this at all...i blame maybe the refs for buying into it and focusing on the obstruction by the wings, and not the things the pens did....oh well, i think whatever therrien was doing, it worked, and we can't fault him for trying.

Vincanni said it all....it was fully body contact with oz, not just a stick..and DIRECTLY led to him not being able to get back into the right position....had oz stood back up half second sooner, puck wouldn't have gone in cuz he'd be tight on the post. I'm not gonna whine and say that we were held down by refs, but i think therrien's whining did open the refs eyes to some of the things wings were doin, and have done all season and all playoffs long, and only now because of all the publicity about it...pretty much have to call it. Honestly, i'm wondering if therrien's bitching wasn't just a diversion to throw us off, while he really just went over privately what needed to be done. His press conference though...notice he didn't ***** once? We didn't really play the same defensive game we have been, and i didn't see them neutral trapping much...I wonder if babs told em to tone it down to avoid the calls?

LoL...pens are diving even before the game...i'm surprised detroit didn't start the game with a 5 on 3 against them with the damn lopsided officiating that ruled the first period, AND the damn lidstrom goal....they really got it in for holmstrom dammit.

Ok, the wings special on local 4 last night, some of their information was a lit....uhh ...WAY OFF. I just thougth i'd clear up a couple of things for the hockey fans that aren't soo into it that they know every term and play etc....On local 4, they said that forechecking is when we check a guy in their defensive zone...WRONG WRONG WRONG....forechecking is when the other team is setting up behind their net for example...to break out of their zone on the attack, and we send 1 or 2 forwards down there to pressure them into giving up the puck...has nothing to do with actual hitting. We are one of the few teams who actually do this on the penalty kill (very ballsy indeed, but for us...also very affective) Now, BACKCHECKING....is pretty much the opposite...when the other team breaks past our blueline into our defensive zone, that means our forwards will hustle ass back to contain the rush, that is it cut n dry. Just thought i'd clear this up for anyone who watches the games but isn't as hockeyheaded as some of us are... I found it very amusing watching the newcasters on 4 last night reading cue cards and TRYING to act like they knew what they were talking about...it was very amusing indeed lol. GO WINGS WINGS IN 5

The Illitch family actually owns the "Hockeytown" Brand/name/whatever u call it? I was actually unaware of that...thanks for takin me to school reds4life lol I think Illitch should step up and put it on the line...and say that if the mayor of PIT is that cocky, if he wants to own the hockeytown name, he needs to put up somethin BIG...like ownership of the pens lol..or that if ..WHEN the wings win....PIT has to tear up crosby's contract and let him be a free agent...wow that'd create a riot in the offseason...OR, WHEN THEWINGS WIN....the entire penguins team has to come to the parade in detroit wearing dresses or stand on a float in the parade shaped like a giant crib with pacifiers in their mouths. I bet PIT mayor wouldn't be so damn sure of his team when their public humiliation was on the line.... Wait...the finals WILL BE public humiliation for pitsburgh lol

I saw on the news this morning that the Mayor of Pitsburgh, is proposing a bet with Detroit, that IF the PENS win the cup, he want's to brand PIT "HockeyTown" from now on and Detroit is no longer allowed to brand itself that. He hasn't said what he wagers yet...but i say WINGS IN 5 TAKE THAT DAMN BET!

While i wouldn't say Detroit has a HUGE edge offense wise...i believe their experience, and hunger from previous failures is going to be a huge factor in this series, and give em a slight edge..not vice versa. Osgood has played VERY solid and again has the experience...he's also one of the most calm and collected goaltenders i've ever seen when getting peppered with shots. I can't say osgood is this AMAZING goalie...but he doesn't have to be....when you have the defense detroit does, you don't need a goalie who will steal games, you just need one to be solid and keep you in the games....a la osgood. I think the fact that osgood reinvented his playing style (he used to be stand-up goalie, and is kinda hybrid now...hes mix with standup and butterfly now, as he took lessons from a goal coach to learn butterfly) has given him a better overall game, he seems quicker, and now knows when to stay up and down, as to not get out of position...i think it's also been a great confidence booster to him too. I just hope he doesn't have one horrible game or something and see the confidence dwindle away..but i doubt it. You can tell just by lookin at him in interviews how much more confident he is now.

Uhmm, yeah i'm gonna have to go ahead and sort of...disagree with you on that one Mmmkay? (lol OBVIOUS office space reference) But, experience goes a LONG WAY....put it this way...we're in the finals.....so the guys with experience are gonna be more level headed, and calm and collected....experience does wonders...say an inexperienced team gets down 4-0 in the first...they start to panic and instead of picking up the play they start getting flustered and making MORE mistakes...where as a team with experience says, ok...4-0 it isn't probable, but it's doable...so they calm down, focus more and maybe take the game over somehow. An inexperienced team who might be down 2-0 in a series, will start to panic and focus on winning FUTURE games to stay in it and lose focus on the current game...i could go ON AND ON AND ON about how experience is definitely a big advantage, but i won't i think u get the idea....anyways its just my opinion and you're entitled to yours seeinred...anyways, lets watch some hockey...GO WINGS... And by the way, just because the pens got this far...doesn't make them experienced...they haven't yet EXPERIENCED a stanley cup final series, and experience is only something you can gain over time....i mean years, not weeks or months....they may have made it this far, but the pens are still a VERY inexperienced team.

Yeah, we have 3 guys that are a mere 5 foot 9 , and one who is 5 foot 7. Two of the 5'9 guys are centers and are 2 of the leading scorers in the league. The 3rd 5'9 guy is our goalie, and the 5'7 guy is our backup goalie. But yeah, to whoever said i should call holland..lol i wish. While i really do feel that i play alot like franzen...with alot of inensity, grit, speed, SCORING....i fear that even in the AHL i'd have my ass handed to me lol. Although, I had a chance to play with Justin Abdelkader a couple times in pickup games, and he's just a little smaller than me but i will say he man handled me up and down the ice which is something NOBODY in my league has been able to do in 4 years. I think with a bit better training, and conditioning and stuff i might be able to hang with Jabby (Justin Abdelkader's nickname) but mark my words ladies n gents...if he develops like i believe he will...HE will get lots of ice time for the wings and will turn into one HELL of a power forward. Just in case anyone is wondering....i am 239 lbs but, my body fat is less than 4 percent......i am THE biggest guy in my league...while theres a guy who stands 6'5, i outweigh him by 30 lbs, and last time i played against him, i put a hurtin on him that put hiim out for 4 games....i felt really bad because i never intend to injure anyone, and he is also my cousin lol.

This is such good news, that after reading some of your posts, i think I started to have tears forming in the corner of my eyes......whats that? PRIDE *******!!! LoL....not even kidding bout the tears tho lol. I've been told by my coaches for 2 years now that i play similar to Franzen, and i used to think it was a stab at me, but once he started getting playing time, and confidence, i see that they saw the potential he had and it was kind of a hint hint situation...i guess i just needed to pay closer attention. I'm 25 years old, 6'4 249 lbs, and can skate just as fast as the 5'9 180 lb guys on my team. I just wish i could say i played with the heart, and HURT that he does lol. FRANZENSTEIN RETURNS, GO WINGS
