If your (meaning NHL) game/actions reflect poorly on me (Air Canada) then I have the right to tell you that I dislike it, and will end said arrangement if you don't do something about it. You (Hockeytown Ryan) saying that's wrong is an opinion that I (Chuklz) disagree with, and that's fine. But you (Hockeytown Ryan) saying that Air Canada should do more for the NHL because they have the capacity to do so is damn silly, its as silly as me (Chuklz) demanding you (Hockeytown Ryan) tithe to the charity of my choice. I appreciate you clarifying your statement, though it makes more sense that being helpful is better for everyone over being reactionary, even if the arrangement is simply money/services for publicity.

I'm pretty sure giving them money is enough 'contribution' for a sponsor. If you're so hip to contribute, why don't you donate 10% of your paycheck and 17 volunteer hours a week to the Detroit Red Wings Foundation charity and then you can expect people to do more.

Yes he's a shade because he doesnt consistently play at 100%, and when he does he dominates relatively. That's where the comparison ends. We call Franzen the Mule because he's stubborn, and you really don't want to piss him off if you're on the other team. He carries his load and gets the job done. Piss him off, and all bets are off. We call Federov the best underachiever because he was as stated before so elite that 80% effort still dominated the average opponent. He lacked the heart of Yzerman, Gretzky etc. When he was on he was on. I think we should retire his number. He's part of what built the dynasty we enjoy today.

I agree. Peter is a great hockey player, and frankly he's the nicest guy you could ever meet. If you looked at the Avs, which most of you don't because- why bother, they're a young team rebuilding, you'll notice they have a good awareness of playing defensive hockey with Foote as Captain. They need some veteran leadership to give Duchene & company some guidance offensively. Enter #21. You'll know when he really retires because the Avs will retire his number. He's earned it. His greatest fault was that he tried to play every role including enforcer, and that caused his career to decline prematurely. Even when the rivalry was at full force, I loved watching him skate and handle the puck the same way I love watching Dats dangle. At the game Saturday he even said, he's there to practice and try out, and if he's good enough to make the team then he'd like to play. A humble sportsman.
