it is ridicilous how the league and fans hate lidstrom after all he has done for the league. It is only because he is swedish,if he was canadian like crosby he would be worshipped by god. Reading hfboard fans hating on lidstrom really makes me sick.

...The wings did win a cup without him, and I think that factors in. I have a hard time seeing wings getting rid of zetterberg, and with the way franzen is playing I cant see him gone either. Hossa is a very good player, but I doubt he gets the nod here.

While Hakan Andersson has been stellar with his euro drafting, there are two examples that are missed oppurtunities from the Wings. First of all is Patrik Berglund. He is the real deal in Blues, and I read a story that Wings just missed this guy. Then we have Jacob Markstrom, an outstanding SEL goaltender at 18 years old age. Wings passed him over as well in the 08 draft.

how is it even the same? Berglund was a late 1st rounder pick, and Markstrom was 2nd round. These are picks wings have a chance to get. Wings have no chance for a top10 pick.

it's so funny to see osgood fanboys spinning his play this season saying he has been good. He has been bad, just suck up and admit it. Bring up Howard and retire Osgood already.

I dont buy all this crap with the defense. The defese sometimes limits the shots to 15-20, yet osgood lets in a couple on that. Most goalies would be fine with that shot total. MCdonald had 46 shots and let in 4 last light.

osgood has been s***tier than samuelsson and lilja, and yet it's never ending love for him. double standard much.

osgood doesnt deserve this much love when he plays bad. Red wings limit the shots total to 20 shots a game sometimes, and yet osgood lets in 3-4 goals on that. Unacceptable.

eh no. Wings won the cup despite of him, not because of him. You could had put any decent goalie for wings last season and they would still win. Osgood is washed up at this point. I mean, the guy rarely has a save % in the 0.90s

because Mule actually scored 13 goals in 16 games when wings won their last cup.
