no but swedish players tend to be late bloomers. Naslund, Alfredsson, and even Zetterberg started peaking after 25 years of age. alfredsson was 35 last season and had his best season. Nylander had his best season while being 34 years old. Franzen could be the same way, maybe he will play his best hockey from now on.

you can complain at the defense, sammy, clearly, hudler etc all you want, but .879 in Save Percentage is unacceptable. If Osgood keeps that up we might as well ride conklin for a while. you should expect atleast over 0.900 from a good goalie.

I have nothing against chelios, he is an alltime great. I am just saying that i think his time has come. I want lidstrom to do the same when he is on heavy decline.

the point is that meech, lilja etc ARE better than chelios right now. I am not calling lilja and meech great players, but chelios was painfully slow at the Dallas series and did several costly mistakes. What makes you think he'll improve one year closer to 50?
