There are so many stars in this game that its great for the sport and NHL. I know everyone is caught up in winning game 7 but I think looking back on this year and last year's SCF finals will be like looking at the Lakers/Celtics finals matchups. I thought Last night was a great game, and like game 5 of last year we were on the short stick but in the end it was exciting. I think this team knows how to bouce back and like last years game 6 will take it down!

Anyone want to take a shot at who they could see coming up big for both teams ? I predicting Helm and Draper for the wings and Sid for the Pens. Sid has been contained the whole series and did not play a ton of minutes. Hope I'm wrong on the pens side but those are my predictions.

Regardless of the outcome it was another great season! How many expected the Sharks or Anaheim instead of the Wings ?

This is probably the best thing that could happen. Think about all the misery that has occurred over the last year and the additional crap that is going to come. The people in Michigan need something to cheer about more than people in any state in the country. On a Friday night too, this could not have been scripted much better. The only thing better might be a shoot out for the win. Pavel and Sid where Ozzy stops all the shots And it would be Epic for Hockey regaining some popularity.

I think there is more pressure on the fans making posts threating to kill themselves if the wings lose. After all how many guys on the team already have 2, 3 or 4 cups ? It will suck but its not the end of the world. Remember the pistons in 2005, not sure how many of you are fans but losing a game 7 sucked regardless of it being in San Antonio. Don't kill yourselves guys, you cant take the game more serious than the guys making the millions its not worth it

This was the most entertaining game of the series an it is good for hockey. Sure it makes the fans grid their teeth but other than wings or pens fans no one wants a 5-0 game. Both goalies had their best games of the series and we saw the pens play great defense. I don't know who will win the next game but it will be a dandy. Go WINGS!!! By the way who is Hossa ? Actually if you look at Sid and Hossa neither have done much in this series. I think it might be wise to curb all criticisms until after the season win or lose.

Finally a post giving some credit to the other team. They played great defense. If they play that well again its going to be mission impossible. That game could have been 5-1 if it wasn't for ozzie.

Can we get out of Ozzy ? Two years ago I don't think many people would be asking this question. I think there is a good shot for another cup next year but we need him to keep going

The sad thing is half of america is too busy watching the boring NBA finals with Kobe and Joe's v.s. the Orlando "anything but Magic" There are more superstars in these finals than in the NBA or MLB right now if you ask me. Those sports are on the downhill. Last years NBA finals had a great matchup but this years with the Lebrond cavaliers underachieving there is no one to counter Kobe. From a not so informed spectator I'm very impressed with players on both sides. Pavel is definitely an underrated player.

I'm very Happy with the Wings this season. I think if most of us looked back 3 years ago after Yzerman retired not many people would imagine that the Wings would be in position for "Back-to-Back". I have frineds that do not watch hockey but still tuned in for the finals last year and this year. So seeing the big names on both sides of the puck is good. Many agree it was quite amazing that pulling the goalie in the first round and still winning the cup afterall how many of you thought it was over ? Raise you hand ? I admit I did think it was near death Yes the wings are missing arguably their best player on this series and we can complain that things would be different blah blah etc... but Babcock said it best "Suck it up". From a sports standpoint we should be happy that there are some big superstars on the both sides that are actually making some plays. Like it or not the Penguins are going to be kickin butt for a long time , and rather than berate and show so much hate we should probably appreciate the skill sets and talent from both teams equally. Afterall, how ofter do you have two teams in a sport playing "back-to-back" for a championship? You cant be lucky that long. In the NFL I it was 1994 that the Cowboys/Bills meeting two straight years and in the NBA I think it was Lakers/Pistons 1989 for baseball I have no idea, so its not very often. I guess maybe hanging around many people that don't care much about hockey I have a different perspective and rather than get mad I try enjoy the play. Sure I dont like seeing Detroit give up a shorthanded goal but I sure loved it when the Wings did it to Chicago, regardless it takes some skill to execute when you are shorthanded. Enjoy the team, they aren't getting any younger and won't be around forever, learn to appreciate what we have as Wings fans win or lose. I live in AZ and you want to talk about bad play, there is plenty of it. It's funny how we take things for granted when the expectations are so high.. Had to rant !! GO WINGS (Show them you can with without Pavel)!!!

Hate to say it but it was no fluke what the pens have done in this series or the playoffs. I'm a wings fan but the speed and youth is starting to show not to mention the injuries. Detroit will be lucky if they can win one more

Osgood is the reason that detroit is up 2-0 in this series. If he holds the pens to one goal on Tuesday I think he will be MVP of the series hands down.
