First whistle of the game: a Detroit penalty. Not good.

I'm going out in the other room. I'll be back between periods. Hopefully we're up big by then.

Just noticed Penguins are an 8:5 road favorite today. That's kind of odd.

Happy 200th playoff game Draper...hopefully it's a blowout win.

And if it's not a slaughter it'll go to overtime which can only mean one thing - a Detroit win. Quick history lesson: Twice in NHL history has game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals gone to overtime. Both times a Red Wing ended it.

Someone steal the ref's whistles or tell them that nothing, no matter how dirty it is, is a penalty. No more penalties and there's no way we lose.

They seemed equally confident after the last game. Still, we've only lost at home once all playoffs and we're not losing again at home until November (might as well have a good start to next year, too )

I'd say it's fairly even. I want to feel better about our team so I'll say we've been the better team because we've scored one more non-empty net goal than they have.

All of these sideline reporters are the most annoying people ever. I mean the questions they ask are so stupid. Game 3 they ask some Penguin (who isn't a native English speaker) what he thought about that long stretch of too many men. What's he supposed to say? If he says "the refs really blew it, we'll petition for a penalty" he'll look like a moron. If he instead says "we're going to see if we can cheat even longer next time" he'll look equally stupid. I don't remember what he said but it doesn't matter - there was nothing he could have said that would have been worth hearing.

Better tell him game 5 is game 4. Datsyuk better play. Detroit better win.

Then this is no series because that's not happening (well, maybe in game 6).

Still can't kill penalties. Now we can't kill powerplays either.

I've got 3 positive thoughts: 1. They can't win the Cup unless they win in Detroit. 2. We've only lost in Detroit once all playoffs and it took 3 overtimes. 3. I don't have any rope so I won't be hanging myself.

Wait, is game 5 Saturday or Sunday? Doesn't really matter as I'll figure it out at some point, just wondering.
