i dunno if hudler will play at 100% even if we can keep him for this season since he already planned to leave Detroit and now we are forcing him to stay. might as well just let him go.

Okay, our team didnt play well in the final two games, and we probably deserved to be criticized (but not insulted) because I don't think anyone can deny the fact that the red wings has been one of the greatest team in professional sports in the past decade. and this is really insulting the city of detroit. No respect at all. People are losing their jobs and homes, and this is no joke man. Imagine your city is in the same situation. would you want someone to write something about your city like that?

I didnt get to see the third period of today's game. but i was wondering if anyone knows whether or not datsyuk is alrite after the slash from talbot? cuz i think we had several cases where our guys finished the game but was injured. "touch wood"

Yea I think we will be fine without Hossa. It's time next year to give the young players a chance to move up to the big league

Everytime I see Helm in the ice, he makes some good plays defensively or offensively. I like to see him forechecking especially. He strips the puck from the opponents or force them to make a bad pass quite many times.

i jsut feel that sometimes Hossa is dangling with the puck too much. obivously the ducks' D are going to focus on him and the dangling are not gonna work if there are like 2-3 guys surrounding him every time he touches the puck.

seriously this guy doesnt know how to or doesn't like to give other people's credit. Varlamov is playing well for the caps and crosby is implying varlamov was just lucky to get the saves. exactly like what he said when zetterberg shuts him down in the pentaly kill last year's cup finals.

I agree. Osgood was playing really well in both games I would say. Especially during the first two periods of both games.

yea I dun see the puck possession game that we are so good at in the past years in the first two periods of today's game. I dun see the domination like last year where we just kept the puck away from the opponent outshooting every team in every period in every game.

i guess the reason why some people are panicking now is because a lot of fans were overly confident that we will easily roll over the ducks. This is really a tough series. To me this is like the cup final because I don't see any other team that are currently still in the playoffs can be a much bigger threat to us than the ducks. Seriously, other than our depth in forwards, the ducks are evenly matched with us on every other aspects. Our defense can shut down their top line and so can theirs D shut down ours. Just see what they did to San Jose. They are not giving any room to our top forwards that's why we don't see much scoring from them but that doesn't mean they are not playing well. Our forwards are clearly wearing down their D after the first two periods in both games. The only concern I have is that we weren't able to score during OT despite outshooting the ducks like 20 something shots. I didnt get to see the OTs so I wasnt sure if we are gettiing quality chances and couldn't put the puck into the net or we are just blindly shooting from everywhere not getting good shots?

how about dan cleary? drafted in first round in 1997, didnt play up to expectation and no team offers him a contract when he comes to detroit. Then got into the team and becomes an important part in winning the cup. He was in tears when his frds and family got on to the ice to celebrate with him.

Very disappointing. Can't believe the future of the league would make such this kind of comments again and again since Game 1 or 2. I remember reading an article about the leadership of stevie Y and joe sakic and one thing that makes them special is that they would compliment their opponents even if they have dominated the other team. Basically, classy. Obviously, sidney crosby is nowhere close to them, and He doesnt deserve to be the face of the nhl or captain of pittsburgh yet. He was clearly beaten or outplayed by red wings in game 1 and game 2 and by zetterberg in the 5-on-3 pp, but seems like his arrogance or ego caught up to him and his comments in the presser show that he thinks no one in the league should be better than him (zetterberg is clearly the better player both on and off the ice right now). He's only creating jokes in the league. It would be sad if all the new generation of hockey players are like him making this kinda comments.
