I like the feel of the JLA, has character...a more rustic look than today's cookie cutter "state of the art" arenas. I still think the coolest look for arenas are the older town arenas (built in the 60s/70s) with the wooden bench style bleachers. People need to stop complaining, your going to a hockey game, not the freaking opera house.

NHL Game Center Live is further behind from NBCSports

nbcsports.com is showing all of the games supposedly.

Since it's Directv, record the Fox Sports Detroit channel. With Center Ice, the regional sports channels get "turned on" at game time, since that's where the feed is coming from on the dedicated Center Ice channels. Oh and just for reference, Directv sorts the Center Ice channels as away, then home (like away @ home).

I'm not a fan of the white backing. I think it's too strenuous on the eyes. A darker background let your eyes relax a little more and you don't get the feeling like you're looking into a glare. Maybe it's just me, but other forums I've used tend to have a non-white background. Just need some contrasting colors, need a break with everything being white. *** I know you said you'll still be tweaking, but here's an example of keeping a white theme (it's probably more gray), but adding some depth to the separation between the posts and background: http://bleacherreport.com/detroit-red-wings Just a suggestion.

So if Nabokov doesn't report to the Islanders (or any player that gets claimed on re-entry) how does this rule favor in terms of marketing and income for the NHL? A player going to the team that they initially signed with can potentially generate more income: increased ticket sales, merchandise, more sponsors (internationally), higher ratings. However the player's rights ends up going to a team they don't want to play for and chooses not to report...then everything stays as it is. The player is like "hell no I'm not going to play then," so instead of the NHL (and teams) potentially getting more money, there is then zero change of any increased revenue. Does this just seem like a poor way to operate a business? (team balancing/fairness aside)
