For nostalgia reasons Gary Thorne comes back to do the play by play for one game....happens to be Chicago at Detroit. Turco gets lit up, Hawks get mad, chaos ensues...something close to the Wings/Avs brawl days. (Howard vs Turco ??? ) Why Gary Thorne, because he is the F-ing man. Ahhh the 90's

I've been dealing with this: Got water in my basement too, quite a bit seeped in from the ground up. Some of my Wings memorabilia got wet . Though luckily it was mostly posters, the true miracle is that my unopened box of Stevie Stars didn't get wet (it was next to stuff that did)....although it's a little crushed now.

Any U-Verse Customers in the Perrysburg, OH area?
drumnj replied to Manny>Ozzie(by a long shot)'s topic in General
With that zip you gave Directv offers FSD on their basic package for that area. All of Northern Ohio gets FSD with Directv, I'm almost sure it would be the same with Dish...but they don't have a zip code sports network search. If you are wondering does blackout regions differ between cable and satellite, the answer is yes. In fact often times it can differ between companies too. -
I don't know, this should be expected, but it doesn't always end up that way. If he went to Minnesota I don't think any Stars fan would care, but there is some bad blood between the Wings and Stars. It's kind of like being on your hometown team for a decade and being the Captain for a few of those years. Then being traded to a big rival team, which isn't your choice (from what I recall)...fans from your former team pretty much boo you every chance they get

Do you think they would boo him?

Technically his last team was the Wings...if that is what you were referring to. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Cloutier#Return_to_hockey_.282009.E2.80.93present.29

Last season I believe the KHL streamed a majority of their games online. I remember I watched a couple of them.

Huh...didn't think people were still using those links, or that they were still working. I've been keeping up on Wings news of signings and whatever else is going on around the league. I've been visiting this site more often since July 1st too I'm also working on my new site for next season with the team of people that had expressed interested in helping me. Even got a fancy domain name hopefully all goes according to plan. Also starting my search for a Wings fan that has Directv and lives in Michigan or Northern Ohio, need to ask them a couple of questions. All apart of what I'm going to use a source next season, so hopefully I can figure something out *hint* Oh and working on stuff with the band.

I wonder if that helps at all, who knows, maybe he'll end up living back at home with them for a bit should he sign

Well I guess if he works at Comerica, then he might have some credibility.

Topic title too long I guess. -- Wings given best draft honors http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=532622 Wings were named in having the best overall draft in the past 25 years, 1989 Nicklas Lidstrom Sergei Fedorov Mike Sillinger Dallas Drake Bob Boughner Vladimir Konstantinov I guess I'm too young to remember Bob Boughner.

So we could of had a Fedorov-Bure pairing. -
Wooo only 3 afternoon games!! None of which are late morning games for me (Central), couldn't stand those. A few early evening games too, also good...

I didn't see any mention of this, so... http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=531781&CID=4920785&CMPID=NHL1382-220167 Nothing too detailed, just kind of an overview of Hakan's interaction with the scouting team and what not. This was kind of interesting

This is interesting, compares the last 2 seasons in both attendance and local ratings. http://cdn3.sbnation.com/imported_assets/435996/combined_ratings___attendance.png article: http://www.fromtherink.com/2010/4/20/1432444/2009-2010-nhl-attendance

Colorado's attendance has been dropping since the lockout. They were right up there with the Wings in amount of game sellouts, waiting lists and what not. Of all the teams, Colorado has been hurt the most since the lockout. They spent a lot before the cap, similar to the Wings...look at what team wasn't effected in the cap era . They were a dominant team in the 90's but just haven't been quite the same since. I guess the fans know this (or got bored) and probably the loss of a few popular players.

What I posted on my chat right after the game. Not the Pens, Not the Hawks, want to see the Sharks choke still and the Habs don't need another cup. SO go Bruins and Nucks

My stream is FSD, only one online from what I've found

Yes it does

I got FSD now
