I'm pretty sure he meant to do that as a way to remind us. It's like whenever a Penguins fan tries to tell us how much better the Penguins are than Detroit, I always ask them "Could you remind who exactly it was who won the cup last year?" Same strategy. - at least I think that's what the intentions were.

Just wondering, but did the whole French=frogs thing come from the book Maus? Or was it before that? -

Thrashers moving to Hamilton?

Yeah... I don't think so. At least, I hope not! -
Kinda off topic, but: Kwame Kilpatrick, your sig says "Yzerman has my birthday" I'm pretty sure that you have Yzerman's birthday. And it doesn't even matter if you're older than him or not

2nd line? More like any line...

What this means is that he cares about Atlanta, even though he really shouldn't. Hossa obviously resented the Thrashers, and so he left. This does not seem like the case to me. When Savard was here, he was good, but he absolutely could NOT play defense. So many goals were scored against us due to him giving away the puck. As for Heatley and Hossa, their situations are obvious, management could do nothing about that. My only other problems with Management is their horrible draft picks and trades. Patrik Stefan, anybody? Coburn for s***nik Getting Coburn instead of Phaneuf in the first place... Drafting Bourette when we could have had Kopitar Drafting Bogosian is quite possibly the only good move as of late

Sadly, Kovalchuk is quite possibly our most able defenseman... And I must say, Hossa wasn't that great on defense when he was here. Hossa was a great positional player, whereas Kovy just scored the goals. Unfortunately, most goalies have caught on that he shoots high glove side EVERY GODDAMN SINGLE TIME!
-
I don't think so - Kovalchuk and Hossa have VERY different personalities. At practice, I had never even gotten Hossa to sign a jersey, much less talk. With Kovalchuk, I can rely on him being there to sign, take photos, and actually have conversations with fans. (Including me! ) So far this season, Kovalchuk's slump, in my opinion, can be attributed to solely his own frustration with teammates. (Which is why I think that if the team tries, Kovalchuk will stay.)
-
So, so, true! I think that the rest of this season will decide whether or not Kovalchuk wants to stay. Even if we don't win, as long as we put up an effort (which has not been the case lately), I think that Kovalchuk will re-sign. If not, we can say goodbye now.

I know! Hossa and Kozlov were our main shoot-out stars! Hossa can really score when given the opportunity. -

I can only imagine the relief Hossa has on his face each and every game with the Wings. Actual linemates that actually win! -

Jon Sim scored sometimes, but he was absolutely terrible on defense. (Of course, he's much better with the Islanders... ) Sutton could check, but had the worst defensive positioning I have ever personally seen in my entire life. There could be SO many odd man rushes against us that could have been prevented by Sutton just staying in position. (Of course, he's much better with the Islanders... ) Metropolit was alright, nothing special. (Of course, he's much better with the Flyers... ) Mellanby was a good captain, but was kinda slow and simply didn't deliver. (In other words, old.) =) -

What decent team? We knew Tkatchuk was a rent-a-player when we first got him, Zhitnik was a complete bust, Belanger had some problems with management, and Savard wasn't going to stay for long. Personally, I think that Waddell is a Tampa Bay "agent" set to sabotage all of our hopes of success. So far, so good. -

Haha, he probably would for us, if we ever made it to the playoffs. Surprisingly, he signed a NTC for us.
