You are totally wrong. I know the family here, you don't. I know the situation around the picture, you don't. Stop being so damn sensitive. The next time an athlete refuses to sign an autograph or take a picture remember this incident. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Chill out people. You are making way too much out of this. This photo is from a small bbq restaurant in the south hills area of Pgh. I work with the owner's wife. The sign has been in front of the restaurant the whole Stanley Cup series. Last weekend, Guerin and his family stopped by to get some take out food. The owner recognized him and took his picture with a cell phone camera. He emailed the photo to some of his "friends" to show them that Guerin was at his restaurant. One of the "friends" decided to forward the picture to the rest of the world. Guerin did nothing wrong but let a fan take his picture. Now, something nice that he did has turned into an international incident.

Some Red Wings that I have really grown to respect in this series
LetsGoPens replied to Psychlone's topic in General
What amazes me about the Red Wings is the way they plug in a rookie and they don't miss a beat. Helm, Abdelkader, Ericsson and the list goes on. I get all of the Fox Sports channels and watched Abdelkader play for MSU. He scored the winning goal in the national championship game a few years ago and now has a chance to win the cup. Almost as good as Ken Morrow winning olympic gold medal and the cup. -
That is exactly right, the refs have made bad calls against both teams. The Penguin fans are the same as the Red Wing fans. We both see things the way we want to see them. We both whine about calls that don't go our way. Both sides do it. By reading this thread, some people make it sound like only Crosby dives, only Penguin fans whine and cry, the Penguins get all of the breaks and good calls. It goes both ways.

He barely touched Osgood. It wouldn't have even left a mark on your uncovered skin. It wasn't like Talbot impaled him and his stick came out the other side. You are right. A few years ago it would have started a fight. But that proves my point. There was no fight because it was barely a love tap.

Spear, bump. Same thing. I was kind of being sarcastic when I said it was a bump. The bottom line is that it wasn't hard enough to hurt a fly let alone the reaction it got from Osgood.

Another Penguin fan here. I like your board but please don't turn into Flyers fans whose only comments are that the world is against them and that the NHL is out to get them. This series will be decided between Fleury and Osgood. The past two games, Fleury has outplayed Osgood and that is why the series is now tied. To me, it looks like Osgood is struggling and not focusing on his game. During the television timeouts, the maintenance crew in Pgh goes onto the ice to clean up the snow that has accumulated. Last night, Osgood was having a discussion with one of the crew people. It looked like Osgood didn't want him cleaning near his crease. I heard he had a heated discussion with a crew person during game 3 as well. Then late in the third period, Osgood went down to stop a shot. It was deflected and went over the glass. After the whistle blew, Osgood just stayed down on one knee leaning on his stick. He just looked like he was totally dejected and frustrated. Good luck the rest of the series.

What about the dive that Osgood took in game 2 when he got bumped by Talbot? Osgood flopped so hard he actually flipped the puck into Detroit's net. I guess you forgot about that one. You have a really nice board here but some of you are starting to sound like Flyers fans. The bottom line is that the Red Wings are so worried about the officials that they have forgotten how to play their game. I was at game 4 last night and at the end of the first period, Babcock was yelling at a linseman the whole time he was crossing the ice to get to the lockerroom. Some of his players were standing in the runway watching him. The Red Wings need to shut up and start playing their game. If they don't, the cup is coming to Pittsburgh.

Be cautious when scalping tickets. During game 4, there were fake tickets being sold. Last game, some people came in from West Virginia and were selling fake tickets. The tickets said "Melon Arena" instead of "Mellon Arena." Ticket scalping is legal in Pgh. However, the scalper has to be registered with the city and where an id badge. Make sure you buy from a scalper who is wearing an id badge. If you can't get tickets, you can watch the game outside the arena. The Pens have put up a large video screen to watch the game. Just bring a blanket or chair to sit on. They have concession stands and vendors set up outside the arena to sell food and drinks. If you want to go to a bar, there is a Marriott and an Embassy Suites next to the arena. Both have bars in their lobbies. You can also go to the Souper Bowl and Cafe on Fifth which are located on Fifth Avenue, 1 block from the arena. You can also go across the river on the south side of the city to Carson Street. There are a lot of restaurants and bars on that street. There is also a small shop area called Station Square. Welcome to Pittsburgh.
